A howler monkey having a nice back scratch in the rain forest of Costa Rica.

I want to thank each and everyone who took the time to visit my little space here on Flickr. Have a super day!

Hamburg. In the immediate vicinity of St. Michael's, we can discover a very rare example of timber-framed houses of the 17th century ("Krameramtsstuben"), originally homes for the widows of the merchants' guild. Leica M8, Elmar (collapsible) 50/2.8.

I've been rather busy with stuff and am still yet to get out to take some new shots but took this macro today. I liked the sepia so there you go!

Along with a few other walkers along the Kennet and Avon Canal recently, we stopped to watch the crew of this narrow boat try to turn it around. Quite a bit of difference to a three point turn in a car!

I thought at one stage they were not going to make it, but persistence pays and eventually it ended up facing the desired direction. Provided some unexpected entertainment to an unwanted audience!

this year I will try to choose one photo a day for this pseudo-project, no matter the motive, style, colour or technique. encouraging myself to shoot everyday, even if I can't go outside.

So when I run out of material I head into the unknown, in my case the back yard to see what's about. Well apparently the grevilleas are in season. :)

Headed back up to Proxy yesterday in a nice drizzly rain :) Nice to live next to such a magnificent waterfall..

This was taken in the first few moments of our second leopard sighting of the day on a full day safari in Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka. We just happened to come across her wandering up the road and we were the only vehicle there. As we followed her more cars joined us and as you may have already seen from an image I posted earlier cars were already waiting to greet her in the other direction. A result of which was that she slid back into the jungle from where she had come.

After some minutes, the Goldcrest was fully recovered and was back at his normal behavior of being really fast and continuously moving. I was so glad he survived since he is the only Goldcrest that lives around.

These two Black-backed jackals seem to be teaming up to decide where to find their next meal. Taken during the golden hour by Lake Naivasha.

I uploaded a shot of noisy miners having a great splash around in our bird bath last week. These shots are not technically great I know, I am limited by space and interfering objects from getting in close and it was one of those dash for the camera and hope something might work. No time for niceties. But I thought my bird loving flickr friends might like this shot of one of the noisys enjoying backstroke. How it got into that position I don't really know but they throw themselves into the whole bathing experience with such gusto, I guess anything can happen.

Thanks for everyone's comments on today's shots in advance. We have a very busy weekend attending to my in-laws relocation needs and I am not sure how much time I will have on flickr. Enjoy your weekend everyone, be safe friends and COVID free.

This is a handheld shot from our dory. My husband rows into the Back Bay in Newport Beach while I take photos. Then, we sail out and finish up with a nice lunch. This is what I call the good life.
