My attempt at the "Crazy tuesday" theme "A Crazy Still Life"
Shot with a Schneider Kreuznach "Radionar 80 mm F 2.9" lens on a Canon EOS R5.
This picture, taken at Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, Florida shows buds of Bald Cypress bursting into new leaves/needles in early Spring.
Bald Cypress trees are one of the iconic features of many areas in Florida. Like other gymnosperms, pine and hemlock trees for example, they bear cones, and have needle-like leaves. But, unlike most gymnosperms, Bald Cypress drop their leaves in the winter months.
A palm tree of some sort just growing in some persons front garden , but interestingly one can see the inflorescence about to break out of the pods that i has been forming in .
An inflorescence is a group or cluster of flowers arranged on a stem that is composed of a main branch or a complicated arrangement of branches. Morphologically, it is the modified part of the shoot of seed plants where flowers are formed on the axis of a plant.
A tricky shot exposure wise , it was the bright sun on the flower heads and dark shade under the palm leaves - underexposed and lifted the shadows in the end !!

I thought it's time to start a new set dedicated entirely to these sunburst shots now that I have almost mastered the technique of which it must be said I came across by accident, the first few was a hit and miss affair but now it seems to be second nature for me,(What a BIGHEAD!! - Louize) please let me know what you think!
And then suddenly the valley was bathed in warm sunlight bursting its way from the behind the dark clouds and the whole valley came alive.

September 10, 2007. We had our neighborhood party this past weekend. Lots of food and fun. I pigged out! Hehe. :-)))
Wish you all a good week. Flickr's been very sloooow for me today, I hope it'll get better tomorrow.
P.S. This is our neighbor's yard. Same yard where I took this photo.

Didn't hold out much hope of getting anything decent as I made my way to Stanmer Down this evening due to the haze and mist that was hanging about. Still was lucky to get some light, though it didn't last terribly long.
