Active Assignment of the Week September 14 – September 21: Morning Routine

WIT: My hand-held raw didn't come out especially crisp, but that's nothing that multiple iterations of sharpening, noise reduction, and blending can't fix. Somewhere in there was a Kodak lomo filter. A tripod and a lower-noise sensor would have been nice.

Push/Pull Door Handle by EID_Class

Example of a bad desigh: This door handle is considered a “bad design”

mainly because it says one thing and implies another. It assumes that a

person should have taken (or not taken) a possible action but ignore whether

that possible action was likely or reasonable under the circumstances. The

shape of the handle implies that a person should grab it and pull it closer

to them as opposed to pushing the door open. Because the physical design

does not necessarily match the written message, it creates confusion for the

user. This reaction ultimately takes away from its intended function.
