Approaching Atherstone, 325011, 325XXX and 325009 make up 1S96 Willesden PRDC to Shieldmuir Mail Terminal.
The Boeing 777 did a 360° turn in a holding pattern at the Swiss & German border near Koblenz. The sun was breaking from under the clouds at 4pm. In the foreground you can see the Rhine river flowing down towards Basel on the far right. Bad Säckingen is at the big bend in the middle. This view is facing south-west towards central Switzerland. The Alps mountains run from left to right behind the ground fog, seen in the center of the picture.
I processed a balanced, a paintery, and a photographic HDR photo from three RAW exposures, merged them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

The fourth installment of the great chase of 11/6 finds the train roaring towards Culver. I had time to check this location out and needed to decide between this shot and the one at the S-curve just a little further south. Since this only works when the sun is right and I have many more shots at the curve I decided to stay here. By this time the warming temps and dry air had all but eliminated any steam cloud from the pellets.
Approaching the medieval seaport of Amalfi, in the middle of the stretch of coast south of the bay of Naples to which this port has given its name.

I love to take pictures at stormy weather in such landscapes, everything is reduced to the essentials. The wildness of the scenery, constantly formed by the forces of nature, with myself right in the middle, overwhelmed by this impressions.

195129 approaches Grange-over-Sands with the 1C54 12:28 Manchester Airport to Barrow in Furness service.

I happened to spot this cloud formation bubbling up close to the horizon, and was struck by the way the sun hit the rim of the clouds, and at the same time cast a hazy light on the clouds above.

With the forecast set to clear from the South West and with a couple of freights and VSOE ecs on offer I made the move to Weaver Junction in Cheshire. I arrived thinking I had plenty of time but on checking RTT the Ravenhead sand was ... approaching Acton Bridge!
Got it with seconds to spare and this was to be my only sunny shot, a huge bank of black cloud came over eventually turning into rain after the VSOE ecs passed in dire light, ah well.
The games getting hard at the moment!

A storm began to approach while I was photographing the famous yellow hut in Sakrisøy. The sun was behind me and I noticed the rainbow but there was no way I could get the rainbow and the yellow hut in the same picture. I ran around manically looking for a composition that worked and ended up with this.
