A puffin on final approach to land on Skomer with it's load of sand eels for it's chicks. I know it isn't pin-sharp, but it was SO difficult to catch them properly in-flight, they are incredibly fast

IORY's LNL passes the R-2 Approach signal to the diamond with NS' Fostoria District in Leipsic.

A pretty village on quiet lanes lined by small Cotswold cottages, barn conversions and a scattering of large Victorian 'country-piles' hidden behind high walls and mature trees, the latter probably due to the rural railway station, now long gone on the edge of the village.
As the storm clouds made their way across the mountains the warm air from the Valley floor caused a dramatic affect to the storms front...
After 60085 had left Skipton bound for Leeds there was about four hours to kill before the next action I had spotted in the area. I missed the New Biggin in the timetable. Anyway I thought it would be a good time to explore the Embsay and Bolton Railway railway where No 7 and 37294 were found to be working services.
37294 seen approaching Prior Lane from Bolton Abbey. The siding to the left presumably serving a local quarry. Any clues would be welcomed.
Amtrak 4 approaches the intermediate semaphore signals at MP 722.1 on the Raton Subdivision. Wagon Mound, an important landmark for those headed towards Santa Fe on the trail of the same name, looms in the distance.
On the second 'Joliet Rocket' excursion run of the weekend, Nickel Plate 765 slowly makes its way up the short, steep approach to the platforms at La Salle Street Station in downtown Chicago.

Shields Road station on the Glasgow Subway is located on the South Side of the River Clyde and hosts the largest Park and Ride facility on the Glasgow Subway system with around 800 parking spaces. The station typically floats around 500,000 entries/exits per year, though you wouldn't think so given the platform isn't too much wider than the door at the end of the platform.
Despite the name, the entrances to the station and car park are actually on Scotland Street and I believe there have been proposals to rename the station. It's at the top of Shields Road though, so there is some degree of sense in the name.
Car 119 is pictured leading Train 5 on the outer Circle into Shields Road. This train runs clockwise around the 10.5km circle.
2999 Lady Of Legend leaves Bewdley, Severn Valley Railway.
2999 is a 'new-build' version of one of the Saint Class of GWR locomotives. All of the original class were scrapped by 1953, long before they were likely to be preserved.
Lady Of Legend was built using the boiler and other parts from 4942 Maindy Hall. Construction took place mainly between 2009 and 2019 and the loco now runs at Didcot Railway Centre as well as visiting other heritage railways.
This was the BA 777 which crash landed just short of runway 27L at Heathrow on January 17 2008, operating BAW38 from Beijing.

.... of my walk and yes it did rain and these clouds, at this moment, were most threatening and then my "Weather App" popped up on my iWatch advising me that a thunder was close by!!
I started walking more quickly!!

After catching this guy at MP 67 I was able to catch him again around MP 77 as they approached Bird Point. I had a nice sucker hole to work with that lasted long enough for me to capture this shot.
The 611 heads west on the straightaway at Vicker, just west of Christiansburg. In a few minutes, they'll approach the wye at Walton where they'll spin the train for the trip back east to Roanoke.
56302 PECO approaches Atherstone with 6Z58 Guide Bridge Brookside Sidings to Dollands Moor Sidings, with DR 73110 Peter White and DR 77908 in tow.
Thanks to a few others who chimed I think we have nailed down this shot was a set of the returning empties at the road crossing east of Cramer Tunnel. Where Cramer road crosses the tracks. Same location as the last shot I posted of this train but before they reach the actual crossing. In looking at the maps trying to figure where I took this photo I see this line had quite a few twists and turns and of course lots of trees. Must have been quite the scene in the Fall as opposed to early Spring when this shot was taken.

That speck in the sky to the upper right of the image is an eagle. I was chasing him and never did get a shot. Followed him from the hills of Quidi Vidi to the Hills of Cukold's Cove. Got the boat though. Like those nice big moving targets. : ) I don't think you chase eagles. They'll have none of it!
