At the beginning of the year we went to the Pfeiffer Beach in Big Sur, California. This beach is famous for the keyhole, a hole in a rock out on the ocean. The sun light shines right through the keyhole at sunset, but only in December and January when the sun is low. This reflection shot is facing the rocks located in the ocean.
I processed a realistic, a paintery, and a photographic HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

I love the way waves look that final moment before they curl and crash.

Approaching Naxos by ferry is a thrilling experience that stirs a sense of adventure and wonder. As the island gradually emerges on the horizon, there's a palpable excitement in the air. The anticipation builds with each passing wave. Passengers traveling to further islands gather on the ferry's deck to capture the views and take selfies.
Not a bad view considering it was from within the carriage and through glass :-)
Delightful looking station on the BlueBell Railway Line from Sheffield Park to East Grinstead ..
A trio of Helper regulars lead by 5347 head up the empty dirt train on Rio Grande's Sunnyside Branch. Seen here between Banning and Mounds where the branch joined the mainline. I can't believe how many good times I enjoyed along this section of Rio Grande with friends and fellow Grande faithful.

Once a month, this service extends onto Winton, as well as regularly stopping off at Barcaldine and Alpha to drop loading. This train operates loaded from Rockhampton to deliver supplies to various towns.

I have a large marble collection that includes many types of marbles- from old chinese checker marbles, clay marbles, regular cat's eye marbles and slag glass marbles, but perhaps my favorites are the antique handmade glass swirls from Germany. Many that I have are pockmarked and worn, but I love them just the same! It is possible to have them polished but there is always the danger of one of the chips causing the marble to break.
This one was made somewhere between the 1850s and the early 1900s.
German Handmade marbles were one of the earliest type of marbles imported to the United States. These remain one of the most popular of collectible marbles worldwide. There are hundreds of color combinations and styles, but most fall into a handful of categories.

As we bid adieu to the warmth of summer's embrace, we find ourselves on the precipice of autumn's arrival. The world transforms into a canvas of vivid hues, a tapestry of crimson and gold, where every leaf tells a story of change. It's a season that invites introspection, a time when nature itself seems to pause and take a deep breath. As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, we're reminded of the beauty that resides in letting go, in the graceful dance of transition. So, as autumn approaches, let us embrace this chapter of transformation with open hearts, for it's a reminder that change can be as beautiful as the falling leaves.
