The bottom signal was flashing red which I believe was signifying that they were crossing the Lynndyl sub and heading onto the IPP Industrial Lead. Which is exactly what it did.
Taken from the Bear Canyon Trail, this photo shows the (currently) large pool that all hikers pass when they arrive at Seven Falls on their way to climb higher to the upper falls.
Somehow, I was able to unintentionally exclude all of the falls from this photo, although it does capture much of the main area of interest. Old Guys such as myself usually don't leave this area as to climb higher is too risky and difficult.

A day of wind, rain and sunshine today. I'm sure there was hail mixed in with it on the cycle ride to work. Clear on the way home, but with another shower approaching. Nice to see that all the damaged glass panels on the bridge have now been replaced. Fingers crossed that it stays that way.
Approaching the town of Cayucos as we drove up the California coast. We were about 200 miles north of and 3½ hours away from Los Angeles, and had another 15 miles to go to get to Cambria, our destination.
It was raining as I drove down the Dan Ryan Expressway, approaching Chicago - the Sears Tower and John Hancock Center are visible (Some of the tallest skyscrapers in the USA, if not the in the world).
Heading east from Nafpaktos towards Vagonetto and Delphi, Galaxidi was an attractive place to stop for coffee and a stroll.
I know these types of lunar pictures can be rather uninteresting without any foreground objects or telephoto close ups of craters. However, that is what I like about this picture. The emptiness emphasizes the moon’s isolation. The first thing that popped into my head was NASA’s Apollo Program. Looking at this picture, I get the sensation as if I was an astronaut in a spacecraft making the approach to the moon.

Over the years, the United States Agency for International Development has been weakened both in terms of capacity and authorities. The Obama administration came into office with a firm conviction that global development is a key tenet of an effective and proactive foreign policy.
There are currently two major global development reviews being conducted at the National Security Council and the State Department that look to strengthen and modernize U.S. development policy. These ongoing reviews are complemented by significant legislation in both the Senate and House of Representatives that could add greater coherence and strategy to U.S. global development policy. CAP's sustainable security program has been at the forefront of this debate and calling for a strengthening of USAID.
Please join us for a keynote by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman, Howard Berman, who will discuss the committee's plans for reform of U.S. foreign assistance laws and programs. Chairman Berman's remarks will be followed by a high-level panel of experts who will focus in on the Obama administration's evolving approach to defense, diplomacy, and development.

Jaffa Gate marks the end of a road that led to Jerusalem from the ancient port of Jaffa and the beginning of one of two major axes that divide the Old City into four quarters. The gate, actually a gatehouse built 1530-40, has been an entry point into the Old City for western pilgrims for centuries. In 1898, the gate was opened and a road paved through it to allow Kaiser Wilhelm’s carriage to pass through.
