Dashcam of approach to a tornado probe deployment. I was trying to catch up with a group of scientists deploying weather instrumentation in the path of a tornado (eventually I caught up). The vehicle in the middle of the video is one of several research radar trucks that are scanning the storm with high resolution Doppler radar.
I was actually trying to get a photo of the long empty hall but just as I press the shutter release some guy (or ghost!) came out of one of the doors at the far end of the hall. Coincidence??? o-O

The last of the evening on this day was a pair of Dash9s leading a westbound stack train on the Midway Sub. Here they pass the Union Yard Job power as they crossover in order to access Union Yard via the power switch onto the runner track at St Anthony.

On the short run to Three Forks the local approaches the Madison River Bridge. The 5th Sub then ducks under I-90 and heads west. The Madison heads south eventually reaching Wyoming and its headwaters in Yellowstone National Park. September 6, 2023.

A common route for students to reach bus station. I don't know how many of Curtin students have noticed the frame here. It amuses me very much every time I pass through it.
Churchward G.W.R. 28XX class 2807 approaching Hailes, Gloucester ans Warwickshire railway. 14.5.16. Mamiya 645 70mm lens velvia 50. Built in 1905 this loco has the distinction of being the oldest loco rescued from Barry scrapyard and the oldest survivor of Churchwards standard locos.

The class 458s have subsequently been rebuilt into 5 car formations with a redesigned front end, new livery and additional coaches from the now defunct class 460 units (see flic.kr/p/CXnXQ2 For a view of these striking units).
Another Place is a piece of modern sculpture by Antony Gormley. It consists of cast iron sculptures of the artist's own body, facing towards the sea.
After being displayed at several locations in Europe, it has become permanently erected at Crosby Beach in northwestern England. The work was controversial in the local area due to issues such as possible economic gain or environmental damage from tourism. A meeting on 7 March 2007 by Sefton Council accepted proposals that would allow the sculptures to be kept permanently at Crosby Beach in place of being moved to New York (extract from Wikipedia
"Masked" Hop streetcar 01 turns the corner from northbound Milwaukee St to eastbound Kilbourn Ave, approaching the Cathedral Square stop. In the background from left to right are parts of Old St Mary's Church and the City Hall building, and in the distance, the Milwaukee County Courthouse complex.
The Hop operates this section of route off-wire; power is derived from onboard batteries.
I've driven round this roundabout countless times and finally got around to taking a photo. The train is approaching Duddeston Station. In the background are the Windsor Street gas holders, dating from as early as 1855. The Council are keen to get rid of them, strangely. The red tower isn't a church but part of the Bloomsbury Library, a listed building. Though its been closed for some years after a lead theft and subsequent slow (if any repairs) allowing flooding inside. The Council again, I guess Nechells isn't as high on the tourism and conservation agenda as Moseley or Harborne and suchlike.
