Approaching Jawalamukhi Road station on the Kangra Valley Railway (KVR), Train 6PB, the 14:10 from Baijnath Paprola will cross with an eastbound service, Train 5BP. 2'6" Gauge (NG) locomotive ZDM-4A 205 will then continue westbound to Pathankot Junction, where passengers can travel onward by Indian Railways Broad Gauge (BG) services, as required.

I've driven round this roundabout countless times and finally got around to taking a photo. The train is approaching Duddeston Station. In the background are the Windsor Street gas holders, dating from as early as 1855. The Council are keen to get rid of them, strangely. The red tower isn't a church but part of the Bloomsbury Library, a listed building. Though its been closed for some years after a lead theft and subsequent slow (if any repairs) allowing flooding inside. The Council again, I guess Nechells isn't as high on the tourism and conservation agenda as Moseley or Harborne and suchlike.

A scene on the Dean Forest Railway on 13 May 2018, shows Prairie tank 5541 approaching Whitecroft station with the first train of the day. The old industrial buildings on the left which are an important part of the character of this station ( and provide shade for the sheep) are to be demolished to make way for housing.
Looking back between the solid brick pillars along the tree-lined approach avenue to Horwood House Hotel.

The storm blew in so fast this evening, I actually set out thinking I was going to shoot a blue sky with puffy clouds. The sky turned black right before my eyes so I drove southeast toward the only remaining patch of light on the horizon. I eventually found this little spot near Byron airport and squatted down in the cow patties and muck as the rain approached. For a while it was totally quiet, then the wind began to howl and I saw the ground to the west suddenly darken and I heard a distant roar of hard rain closing in fast. I sprinted for the car and shut my door just as a torrent began to fall.
Lens is the Sigma 10-20 with Hoya ND400 9-stop ND filter.
On Thursday 16/1/2025, 5XM1 (Aurizon shuttle) is seen approaching Dawkins road, Two Wells (SA) with GM37-gl102 in charge.
After a shower of rain, an eight car class 455 formation cautiously snakes it's way towards Purley station. The train is a service from Caterham and is about to join the branch from Tattenham Corner before running into platform 5 at Purley. On departure it will join the main Brighton line for it's onward journey to London.

This image under the classic neon signs of Hong Kong is very close to the approach patrh of the former , sadly now closed Kai Tak international airport.
Volvo's are in the minority, but still in substantial numbers in Hong Kong.

This is how the storm looked earlier in the afternoon before reaching our area. It's building in the northwest, moving up ever so quietly, not making a sound. It's almost predatory in it's silent approach.

Brighton Road, Worthing finds 10954 making its way along the coast. The garage (sorry service station) on the left had a Costa Coffee attached, a useful way to dodge a stray E300 which was between the bus I alighted and this ! 9.12.21.
