The Animation Decathlon is a unique interactive arts installation combining cutting edge architectural projections, outdoor video gaming and original sound design in the courtyard of Kensington Town Hall.

On Saturday 21 March, the animated athletes and crowds they’ve created will be projected metres high onto the Town Hall and surrounding buildings where they will sprint, pole vault and swim across the sides of the buildings transforming the area into an ‘Olympic’ arena.

The sun illuminates the planet now at a lower angle. This means more shadows and therefore significantly less albedo compared to a good two months earlier. The inclination of the rings has also changed.

My first ever stop motion animation! Am quite pleased. It was for a brief, but lost the plot and it doesn't necessarily completely fit in with my work.
But this does not kill the joy of finding out that I may, indeed have a little patience.
I didn't to chuck the camera out of the window once.

Animation of 38 individual frames taken of Comet Lulin on Feb 23, 2009. Images were taken with a Canon 300D w/ 70-300mm USM III lens at 200mm. Individual frames were 180s f/5 @ ISO 800. Piggybacked on an autoguided Celestron C6-N (EQ-4 mount).
