The Animation Decathlon is a unique interactive arts installation combining cutting edge architectural projections, outdoor video gaming and original sound design in the courtyard of Kensington Town Hall.
The event is the culmination of a year long project working with children and young people across Kensington and Chelsea to create a fantastic series of 2012 - inspired drawings and animations. Click here to find out more about the project
On Saturday 21 March, the animated athletes and crowds they’ve created will be projected metres high onto the Town Hall and surrounding buildings where they will sprint, pole vault and swim across the sides of the buildings transforming the area into an ‘Olympic’ arena.

my final piece from my foundation year. A humorous animation looking into how the little things throughout your day are what lead you to getting grouchy and angry.
My first digital animation that appears to be not as digital as it was supposed to :)
The story is about the possibility of making a journey without physically going anywhere.
I explored symbols of moving and not moving and tried to unite them and make them tell a story.

This is my first attempt of animation. I found the juxtaposition between the harsh statement of 'I told my girlfriend to kill herself and she did' and the music that accompanied it very disturbing. I want to leave a sense of ambiguity between the real and the surreal which can intertwine the ''unconscious mind''-Sigmund Freud.

Sannen-zaka Street is my preferred place in Kyoto, especially for the particular animation inside (lots of shops and traditional dressed people). Even some tourists could dress the traditional way here, very nice idea I did not dare to apply since I was alone ☺

That style of make-up is worn by geisha and maiko, it is usually called shiro-nuri (white lacquer) or o-shiroi (which is the name of the white face powder). It is worn by people other then maiko and geisha. For instance, anyone who studies Japanese dance and has dance recitals will probably wear it once or twice a year. It is also associated with Kabuki Theater, where it actually originated, but nonetheless it is heavily associated with geisha. The woman in this picture is a maiko-henshin, someone who has paid to be dressed as a maiko, but she is a really good maiko-henshin!
La petite rue Sannen-zaka est mon endroit préféré de Kyoto. J'y suis passé plusieurs fois sans m'en lasser. Plein de boutiques, un gros cerisier en fleur bien que ce ne soit pas encore la semaine, et plein de monde en kimono et donc beaucoup de japonaises en tenue traditionnelle. Meme les touristes peuvent louer la tenue de fantaisie :)
Ben celle là c'est ma préférée :)
