The Animation Decathlon is a unique interactive arts installation combining cutting edge architectural projections, outdoor video gaming and original sound design in the courtyard of Kensington Town Hall.
The event is the culmination of a year long project working with children and young people across Kensington and Chelsea to create a fantastic series of 2012 - inspired drawings and animations. Click here to find out more about the project
On Saturday 21 March, the animated athletes and crowds they’ve created will be projected metres high onto the Town Hall and surrounding buildings where they will sprint, pole vault and swim across the sides of the buildings transforming the area into an ‘Olympic’ arena.

Done for my Stop Motion Animation class at MICA. It was a pretty open and experimental sort of assignment.
I chose to go with something simple and a bit familiar to start with. The fish are painted in gouache, cut-out, and laid over a moving watercolor background. I shot this on multiple levels of plexi glass, with the background on one, and the fish on another. And goodness, lighting was a nightmare! The colors came out terrible on camera, and I don't have a decent program to adjust the colors right now, so it is what it is. I think with cut paper, it'd be easier the next time around to scan them and animate them on the computer, but it was a fun experiment nonetheless, and I thoroughly enjoyed the process. Who knows? I still have all the parts saved up, so I may give it another go some day :).

a silent animation of my dog philaby saying i'm huuun-gry. I have taught him to 'say' it and i'm working on getting a good recording or video of him for real. This was made from two photos, made into 4 photos, made into a movie.

Fiona has created an animation in response to the poster from a Bruce McLean exhibition at Modern Art Oxford (or MOMA as it was then known) in 1975. She has responded to the reflected trees in the mirror and subtly changed the poster into a moving image.

Chaque année, au début du mois d’août, le festival Esperanzah ! reprend ses quartiers à l’abbaye de Floreffe en province de Namur.
Depuis plusieurs années, le festival et le CNCD-11.11.11 s’allient pour sensibiliser le public présent à la solidarité internationale . En 2012, la justice climatique était à l’honneur. En 2013, c’est le droit à l’alimentation qui était au centre d’animations et d’activités sur le site du festival.
Durant tout le weekend, un collectif d'associations coordonné par le CNCD-11.11.11 a animé le "village pour le droit à l'alimentation". Plusieurs activités ludiques et attractives ont permis aux festivaliers de se questionner sur le système alimentaire mondial. Le public était aussi invité à s'engager et à devenir des Super Citoyens (www.supercitoyen.be).
Ensuite, le dimanche, pour respecter ce qui est devenu une tradition, le CNCD-11.11.11 a officiellement lancé sa campagne sur la scène du festival en présence du parrain de l’action, le reggaeman le plus populaire du Burkina Faso Sana Bob.

These drawings are done by using some java script programing language and simple mathematics. Twisting and turn one line at a time to draw geometrical shape like these.
