for an animation, I need a lot of silhouettes .
because there is little budget we (me and Maurice van der Bij ) act them out, with wigs etc. All filmed with an I-pad.

Inside the animation film that Caloi is producing, there will be a sequence called "Claustropolis". I did some colouring for the linework of architect Luis Lleonart here.
The following piece is primarily inspired by artist Polly Nor, who is famous for her exploration into the concept of ‘women and their demons’. The theme centres around self esteem in modern society, the female identity, and the portrayal of women. Inspiration also seemed to be drawn from her own struggles with mental health. I found this an incredibly interesting concept and wanted to look into this myself which then led to this piece. I wanted to explore this further by adding animation in order to bring the piece alive. This is a depiction of a woman subverting Laura Mulvey’s male gaze theory, instead of being objectified for hegemonic pleasure she has deconstructed herself to the bones to convey her true, inner self. She would rather be comfortable in just her skeleton than to conform to objectification, raunch culture and sexualisation in the media and modern society. This is a zeitgeist of the woman’s ideology of society during the fourth wave of feminism, when we cannot see improvement we must take it upon ourselves to act in these times with art and culture.

l'oubli, quelque chose d’immortel.
- Personnage parlant
- Tout terrain sec (intérieur/extérieur, asphalte, pelouse, etc)
- Tout public
- Déambulatoire ou fixe, adaptable à tout événement
- Dimensions : 2.6 m de haut, 1.2 m d’envergure
-------------------------------------------
n'importe quel air populaire.

This was a Time Studio Assignment (a video art class) and this is supposed to be a stop motion animation that goes with a sound piece I created to describe "space". and no not "outter space"... the other kind of space. lol So this is the story line I came up with. This is my favorite stop motion.

This animation is made from a series of 13 still shots, distilled from several hundred exposures. I manually assembled them into the correct order, cropped them to match the camera position, and strung them together in Photoshop as an animated GIF. This was one way to give you an idea of the variety of images I captured with this setup, but spare you a series of nothing but water shots for the next 13 days.
