My wife and I took a trip up to Vancouver for our anniversary, and on the way back we stopped by Washington's Larrabee State Park. One of our guidebooks commented that it is also referred to as "Little Sur," in comparison to California's Big Sur area. I don't know if that's a good comparison or not, since we took most of the drive in the dark, but it seems odd given that most of the drive was forested. When you enter the park from the north end there's a beach area you can access that has a few different viewpoints; this was the first one we hit.
I'm not even going to make any claims about whether this is true to what the eye would've seen, because I think it's pretty obviously not ;) but I did have fun processing it in Oloneo HDREngine and then playing with it some more with my shiny new copy of Photoshop CS6. A shame about the alignment problems, although I think they're only really noticeable on the mountains in the background... I really need to hack a device or something to do more than just +-1 bracketing automatically, because no matter how delicate I am it seems impossible for me to fiddle with the exposure without moving it.
(Since Photoshop blew away the EXIF: ISO200 f/8; the metered exposure was 1/250.)
The Moon, Jupiter, and Venus begining their allignment that happens only every 44 years. Took this shot in Granite Oklahoma. Kind of a happy accident, I was packing my camera into my car and looked up and there they were, I'm so glad I packed my tripod in my car that day. Created HDR using Photoshop with 3 different exposures -2EV, 0EV, +2EV

Protein sequence alignment and phylogenetic tree of dopa decarboxylase.Protein sequence alignment of dopa decarboxylase (A) and phylogenetic analyses (B) were conducted by the neighbor-joining method using the MEGA4 program with the C. elegans tyrosine decarboxylase as outgroup. The percentage of replicate trees in which the associated taxa clustered together in the bootstrap test is shown next to the branches. The scale bars indicate the estimated evolutionary distance in the units of the number of amino acid substitutions per site.
Getting the transparency exactly underneath where the screen will print this layer ensures decent registration (there are variables, like the tiny paper shifting slightly underneath while you drag the squeegee across it).

The strong afternoon ray makes the boulder dry, with the incoming tide, they should be glazed, but couldn't wait for that moment because the site will be deep for me.
I choose my inner balance
It does not choose me
I easily manage the swirling wind
I close my eyes and breathe
Aaaahhhhhhhh
Today's archaeological site lies 3 km south of the Selçuk district of İzmir Province, Turkey. The ruins of Ephesus are favorite international and local tourist attractions, partly owing to their easy accessibility from Adnan Menderes Airport and via the port of Kuşadası.
