After doing Energize1, I started this painting. This was a very interesting experience as I found myself getting to know my big new long handle round brush and what effects I could do with it.. I also started playing around with adding more water and moving the acrylic around. I never "thought" about what I was doing, I just kept playing and going with the little whispers of the page. This is not done...I had to stop to make dinner and go to a meeting...plus I think it needs to dry a bit, its really, really wet!
I posted this one as is. I am a little excited to see where it goes when I come back to it. I definitely do not like this at all!!!!
I spent some time assembling the Konstruktor today. Here's some observations:
Pros:
*Good illustrations
*Extra small parts (screws and springs)
*Well designed and good fit
*Multilingual instructions
*Supplemental details on construction of pre-assembled parts
*Nice hands-on education of SLR construction and operation.
Cons
*Sparse instructions
*Order of assembly often ambiguous
*At least one part different than illustrated
*Some parts not numbered
It went together eventually. My focusing ring is 90 degrees out of alignment 9sigh). Pay special attention to orientation of illustrated parts. If you're super-annuated, you'll want your readers and a good light source. If it isn't going together easily, you're doing it wrong. Take a calming breath, and reexamine the pictures and how the parts fit together. The lens is a clever bayonet mount, but the focusing thread sticks and the lens will pop off. Expect future lens options from Lomography.

Leaving Canada, cruising across the Strait of Juan de Fuca with a wind nasty enough to drive most indoors, I saw this shot lining up and waited until it was nearly perfect.

I specifically got the Trembucker version of the Duncan Distortion because Felix has a Tremolo bridge. I'm impressed with how well the strings align with the pole pieces.
