One meerkat acts as look out, staying alert at all times. I love these little animals, they are so cute!

As first light began to illuminate the night sky, this juvenile White Ibis was among a large congregation of mature Ibises roosting in the trees.

 

Location: Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Florida

Between mouthfuls of delicious grass, the rabbit would look up to be sure it was safe. It was aware of us looking out the window, but stayed feasting until its little tummy was full!

I wanted to get him with ears pricked, so my grandmother made this weird chirping noise, which got his attention quickly.

This was taken with a Tamron 500mm catadioptric lens (800mm equivalent on my camera) which was hand held. The doughnut effect of the background highlights is caused by the mirrors in the lens. It was taken on Arne Heath in Dorset.

A cold and frosty morning with a dusting of snow, but this dog was quite happy to stand in the river waiting for his owner.
