Today’s nature walk in Central Tucson revealed this alert mourning dove high above us in a large mesquite tree. It was a beautiful bright sunshiny day
On the march up to Dubai Mall immediately after the all clear was given, we noticed the traffic returning. Look closely there’s a delivery driver and a taxi Within minutes the traffic was moving and once again Dubai was in action.
It's 3:20 AM and Ruthie who was asleep on my bed heard me making a cup of tea in the kitchen. She wants a bite to eat too.
Garlic was dozing under a tree together with Ginger, his brother and companion, when two elephants approached. He is immediately alert, and the two lions decide to take off and rest elsewhere. No friends, these elephants and lions!

I know I've done shadows like this before, and ok to be honest, I've got some others I'd like to post sometime. But I really like the way it comes out at him, and he keeps a wary eye on it as he passes.
This is another photo from my day with Pat (Larigan here on Flickr) during our stay in Bexhill. We visited the Bentley Waterfowl and Car Museum and saw so many different species of waterfowl. Something seems to have caught their attention.

This buck just started a scrape and was standing around licking his nose and lip curling in hopes a receptive doe was around, when something caught his attention. It was a larger buck approaching, and this buck retreated far enough back into the oaks that we could no longer see him with binos. Bucks avoid fights when they can.

Late evening with this female Northern Harrier who had a full crop (meal) and was extra vigilant to a migratory tundra Peregrine Falcon who was flying over the coastal wetland while I was observing her. She has beautiful feathers and markings. I have watched her hunting for hours and hours and never get bored. They are very unique and magnificent Birds of Prey.
