In this picture I was trying to capture the plane... Since I don't have much zooming option available in my cam, that plane is looking like a falling star..

another Lofoten islands liquid mirror landscape as there are so many. This scenario felt best in monochrome and I hope you agree.
This is the same pic as the one before but a flickr friend suggested I crop out most of the sky because it was to harsh and I agreed so here it is again.
Located Downtown, this is the only Jewish Congregation that’s still active within Detroit proper. In other words, appointed for a particular day, season, or occasion. Sadly, since the late 1960s, a huge majority of the synagogues in the City of Detroit were either destroyed, closed down or converted into churches some of which have met a similar fate as their preceding residents. Thankfully we still have some members of the Jewish community who still reside in the city. There’s another (former) synagogue a few miles up that was converted into a theater for drama students. I’ve yet to see the inside it. Perhaps when the pandemic dies down, we can probably catch a play over there one of these days...
Gatotkaca confronts Karna, the owner of the Kontawijaya weapon. He created a thousand twins of himself, making Karna feel confused. On Batara Surya's instructions, Karna managed to find the real Gatotkaca. He then fired his Konta weapon at Gatotkaca. Gatotkaca tried to avoid it by flying as high as possible. However, Kalabendana's spirit suddenly appeared to catch Kontawijaya while delivering news from heaven that Gatotkaca's death had been determined that night. Gatotkaca, who resigned himself to his fate, advised that his corpse could be used to kill enemies. Kalabendana agreed, then stabbed Gatotkaca's navel using a Konta weapon. The heirloom merged with the scabbard, namely the mastaba wood which was still stored in Gatotkaca's stomach. After Gatotkaca died, Kalabendana's spirit threw his body at Karna. Because he managed to jump and escape death. However, the train was shattered into pieces by Gatotkaca's body. The fragments of the train shot in all directions and killed the Korawa soldiers around it.

He is my friend Mr.Gopi, he is not at all interested in showing his face to any photographs. Same thing reflects in this shot also.

Kasenuma is the resorvoir located in Tagajo city.
My students proposed to visit Kasenuma on September 13.
One of my students just got his new Olympus mirrorless camera.
Of course I agreed to enjoying Kasenuma.
I introduce some photos.

In our life time we’ve come across many stars.. Most of them was not recognized! They have been washed away. If they would be treated the way they deserved to be, we would be unlighted...
It’s us, who are losing any way!!

Happy, happy update. All the neighbors who had been feeding Lucky worked together and found a wonderful family who want to adopt him. The day after I posted his story, Lucky lived up to his name. Thank you all for the concern and suggestions.
Being a cat lover and working at a cat-only veterinary hospital is not always easy. Lucky is a case in point. He's about a year old and is a darling stray who has been hanging out around a neighborhood where several people have been feeding him. They all agreed that he was a love bug and one neighbor was potentially interested in adopting him. Another neighbor is a client of ours - in fact she adopted one of her cats from us - and decided to bring Lucky in to be neutered and vaccinated and to see if either we could adopt Lucky out through our clinic or if among all the neighbors they could find a home for him.
It turns out that Lucky was sweet until we needed to scruff him to give him his vaccines and then he got quite aggressive which is understandable for a stray cat who hasn't been constrained before. In the next two days he went from being friendly and wanting attention while we cleaned his cage to threatening us. Again, being in a cage can be unsettling for a cat who has only ever lived outside. He did much better when we let him run around loose while we cleaned his cage.
On the third day, one of the original neighbors who was potentially interested in adopting Lucky came to visit him and he bit her so she is no longer interested. Because he was vaccinated for rabies only three days earlier, the animal control officer said Lucky had to be quarantined for 10 days before making any further decisions. Adopting him out through our clinic is no longer an option - he's too much of a liability. None of the neighbors can (have too many cats already) or want (the neighbor who was bitten) to adopt him.
Being a stray cat in New Jersey isn't great so just releasing him back into his old neighborhood or relocating him may be complicated. Winters can be very cold, food can be hard to find and there are other territorial, unneutered males out there. New Jersey is also part of a major migratory pattern for many bird species and many of those use this immediate area for nesting so birders hate stray and feral cats - they are truly decimating bird populations. Finally, stray cats can carry disease. There is at least one colony in the area where two cats have tested positive for rabies.
So, it's not clear to anyone what Lucky's fate will be. He may turn out to be a wonderful pet but who will take ownership of him until a future home is found. How long do you keep a cat in a cage or otherwise confined who is used to living outside and being free?

Michael Raedecker willingly agreed to pose with this dramatic representation of a trapped swan. Talking about his work, meant talking about the how. Not about the meaning. "I leave that to the viewer," he told me in several ways. So, what to make of this? Please tell me your ideas...
More about his special technique in my review (included in the next image).
Yes ,I agree that one can find beauty even in the ugliest things but this doesn't mean that we need to focus only on them. Many "fellow photographers and artists" prefer to show only this ugly kind of beauty and they call it a style . Some others are using "artistic" ways to kill innocence and joy just because they have been taught that making everything to appear meaningless and dirty is "cool." Art is not only to provoke. Propaganda art has very often served the dark side. Provocation always serves a purpose and spreading negativity with the excuse of making art seems very suspicious. I am not able to judge the photographic skills of a person but I can tell if a photo causes me heavy feelings and if it helps evil to be spread. We need to be very carefull with what we post and what we fav, always taking in consideration the impact that they may have on a fresh untouched soul...

Lyn was walking Abby this morning at the park. She was very gracious and agreed to let me take some photos of them together. Abby is 1 1/2, full of energy and such a sweetheart. I am so grateful that people agree to let me photograph them but don't want to take more time than necessary and be an inconvenience to them. Of course, I love the back-light but I think I need to carry a flash to get sharper images. I want to carry a small set-up though so I don't seem too intimidating. This challenge is going to teach me a lot.

Shot this am...... at the woodcutters trail out here. This is a reservoir and a great place , to sit on the rocks and hear the birds chirp, occasional thunder n lightning (behind us) and see the fishes pop up and eat the floating insects. Nature is amazing as always !
Tone mapped and the DRI- Digital blending to bring in the natural brush strokes ;-). No polariser or filters used

With spectacular coastline, breathtaking views across to the Small Isles, abundant wildlife (including the elusive Scottish wildcat), ancient oakwoods and stunning white beaches, Ardnamurchan is constantly surprising and always unforgettable. A truly unique place to visit they say (and according to the pictures, I can only agree…)
But what sets Ardnamurchan Distillery (which opened in July 2014) apart, beside its uncommon location, is also the importance attached on being the greenest Scottish distillery.
Uniquely in the whisky industry, all the power and heat requirements for the Ardnamurchan Distillery come from local renewables – the river that provides the distillery’s cooling water has a hydro-electricity generator and the biomass boiler is fuelled by woodchip from local forestry – the overall footprint of the distillery is a light one.
Ardnamurchan is one of the UK’s great unspoiled wildernesses. Rugged, isolated and utterly wild, it juts into the Atlantic at the most westerly point of the British mainland. And this beautiful part of the world is also home to one of the most recently-built Scottish distilleries: Ardnamurchan Distillery, a project brought to life by the renowned whisky merchants of Adelphi.
In addition, the by-products of the whisky-making process are recycled on the peninsula – the still energy-rich draff (what’s left in the mash tun) being used to feed all the livestock on the peninsula, and the pot ale (what’s left in the stills) as fertiliser.
Recently, all 2,500 bottles of Ardnamurchan Spirit 2016 AD have sold out in a record time, with Adelphi Distillery, parent company of Ardnamurchan Distillery, claiming it had orders for three times the number of bottles available.
Aurelia and I had a wonderful walk around Portland yesterday with Jawdoc. It was his first time in Portland and he inspired both of us to appreciate photographing our own city like a tourist! Thank you Jawdoc!

Large repair bases like this one deep in the Nectaris Sector were a hive of activity: battle-damaged mechs returning from the front line, new designs being tested and fitted out. All was colour and movement!
The new Grumman K6, on left, was welcomed by many American mech pilots for being faster and more responsive than the older BA-32, or "ol' Big Ears", seen to the right, although most mechs were kept in service as long as physically possible.
With more parts and experience I'm in a better position now to flesh out the BFTM world than before. Hopefully more to come.

I so agree
Laughing prolongs life, that is something me and my mom live by
And obviously Aiko too (my dog)
We are still giggling like we were teenagers, maybe even worse, because we aren't shy about ourselves anymore
We know who we are and what we stand for - with that in our inner core it's easier to be true to ourselves
I don't like faking, life is too short to waste my life on such matters
I will be positive till after the day I die
If you don't like my attitude, well that's your problem

#331/365 Post Process Fridays episode #43. This week's epic shot is from Julien aka Neoweb001. This was one of those photos I knew I had to get my hands on when I first saw it. Unfortunatly I can't give any insight as to what I did, becuse it was a little bit of that and a little bit of this till I thought it looked cool. I do love how it came out. Thanks again Julien for this great image. Everyone have a great weekend!

Jasper agreed to do a nice pose for me as the sun started to rise behind him early one morning at the riparian preserve.
Just playing with the moble phone.
There is a lot that bothers me about this picture but somethings I really love.
Bothers include: very low light on a slow slow speed = noise and lack of fine definition. Handheld in the cold night = a little blur.
But I love the way the light pours out of the bridge onto the water, and off the tower into its reflection, and from the moon - showing a light intensity and brightness the artificial illuminations cannot match.
It is the kind of picture which says, 'go back with a decent camera/glass on a tripod and find perfection ...'
Or maybe it says, 'you enjoyed the moment and captured what you could ... so enjoy it again'
Perhaps you will agree ....
