Seenigama after the Tsunami

Financial District, Manhattan

Aftermath of the storm at Colwyn Bay on the 31st march. Promenade was extensively damaged by the massive tide.

This is my entry for the third round of the MOCOlypics over on MocPages where I was given the category of "Post Apoc." Here I have depicted what remains after an epic gun battle that took place outside a paritally collapsed building.

City Hall; Ottawa, Ontario.

Sand and mud was and still is everywhere, the current plowed its way over everything, it did NOT STOP for the sign!

Yeah, my waste basket under my desk is full of salt water taffy wrappers. So???

I've had this piece of ground lying around for awhile so I decided to make an ODST vignette.

This is probably the first SNOT vignette I've done.

Maldives, four and a half years after the Great Asian Tsunami, for some people life still remains incomplete.

Decapitated water buffalo* ... as a ritual sacrifice to Bhairab.

* or 'buff, as it's called on the menus. (It'd be sacrilege to eat a cow, see)

I was horrified, till, talking to some Nepali friends, I realised the only time I've seen that much blood on the pavement in London, it's been human. So who's the more primitive?

the old-school reprap extruder had a huge gap between the bottom of the teflon threads and the barrel. hot PLA can expand and get stuck in this area, jamming the extruder. the solution is to file down 5 mm or so of threads so that the end of the barrel can seal flush against the bottom of the hole.

Aftermath of large victorian mansion fire in town

This year we didn't do as bad at the "Guess how much candy the kids will go through" game. We bought 8lbs and ended up with only a few handfulls left.

The July 2008 derailment at Turkey River, IA destroyed the DME 6053, DME 6079, DME 6077, and the ICE 6417. These pictures were taken after a hospital train was built with these engines in August 2008 and were sitting in Dubuque on 19 track waiting for their time to go to Nahant.

Aftermath of an early morning single vehicle car accident in the New Vernon section of Harding Township, New Jersey.

March 4, 2012. At approximately 2:00am a white BMW sped through the intersection of Spring Valley Road and Dickson's Mill Road in New Vernon. The driver failed to slow down a 90-degree t-shaped intersection, knocking down an electric and telephone utility pole and then crashing through a steel guard rail. The automobile came to rest only about 10 feet from a private residence. No other details are yet available.

Rain stopped wherever it was, and the thunderclouds disapated leaving a sliver of sunset.

With no electricity, phone or cell phone signal, I decided to leave my cold, dark house and explore the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy in my neighborhood.
