Here is where the leak started. Then as they were trying to attach a drain hose the whole knob popped off and all the hot water came out and onto the carpet. What a mess. Mind you we still had no lights.

This block of flats in the Edgbaston shopping centre was blown up this morning. I missed the demolition, but saw the results!

going to the devastated areas myself was the only way i could really grasp what had happened only a mile from my own home, i'm still shocked and speechless...i'll post more pics soon and try to better describe what its like but the sadness is overwhelming and yet the homeowner's are resiliant, i really live in a great community...

Curtis and Jon check out the holes they made by firing multiple handgun rounds through a sheet of paper. It didn't stand a chance.
The one on the left looks like rainbow sherbert (sp?) the other took off my Rainbow Dash polish and I thought it was cool how it had almost a perfect rainbow stripe left.

I woke up on 09-18-08 Thursday morning to a slightly damp floor. I checked out the water heater and determined it was going out. I tried for 3 days to get some help with no success. Finally on Sunday, Timmy and Scooter came to my rescue.

A friendly security guard didn't have the keys to let me on site, but he did say that people would be there on Saturday to let me take photos, I wont be able to make it down, but if someone else wants to go down instead?
I was going to document the demolition of the building over the coming months.
