Although this piece by the talented Paul Day depicts a war of another era , I think it is a fitting image for today.
127/366: "The Aftermath"
On Friday, we found out that the large piece of acrylic that we ordered for the biggest print in the show, my impact piece, was the wrong size.
My Dad and I quickly determined that the only way we could fix things and have it ready for the show was to cut the frame.
No problem, right? All we had to do was cut two new 45's. Since my folks were coming in for the show on Sunday, we figured we'd have it done in an hour.
Until we found out that the cut we needed to make it fit the other dimension was short by almost half an inch...
3 hours later, we had ripped down three sections of the frame to fit the acrylic.
Thank God my Dad was here - there is no way I would have been able to have it done in time, otherwise.
Photos taken of the damage caused by Hurricane Ike. This is a fairly raw photo set as I do not have power at home.
Oh, the humanity. Aftermath. Not really! Hurricane force winds predicted and we got no more than 18 mph winds, it brought a few pears off the tree though.
