Hindu pilgrims bathing in the Ganges river at dawn, near the Sangam, during the Kumbh Mela 2013 festival near Allahabad (India)
The wooden poles in the water are a safety fence, as most of the Hindu pilgrims can't swim!
The Triveni Sangam is the confluence of the Yamuna and the Ganga (Ganges) rivers, and this is the holiest place to take the ritual baths during the Kumbh Mela.
This was the early morning of January 27 (a full-moon night, called Paush Purnima), one of the most auspicious mornings for taking the holy bath.
Kumbh Mela is the largest festival on Earth, taking place once every 12 years, with more than 50 million Hindu pilgrims gathering to pray and bathe in the holy Ganges river.

Village house and horses or maybe mules (India)
Villagers use horses and mules to carry goods and travel around in the mountainous region.
People live with their animals, in houses like this one that usually have a single room for the entire family (that includes the grand-parents and many kids).

Wrapped statue (Cẩm Phả, Vietnam)
Probably a statue of Trần Hưng Đạo (aka Hưng Đạo Vương or "King Hung Dao"). He's a famous general of the Tran dynasty in 13th century Vietnam because he repeatedly beat back the Mongol invasions by Kublai Khan. (thanks to Tran Loc for this information)

There is are yellow Tilaka marks (ritual Hindu marking) on his arms.
Hundreds of thousands of Sadhus, Babas, Hindu devotees and pilgrims converge to the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu during the Shivaratri festival ('Great Night of Shiva'), to pray Lord Shiva.

Mazu, Goddess of the Empty Sea, is the Chinese patron goddess who protects seafarers, such as fishermen and sailors.
In front of Mazu, "Thousand-Mile Eye" (千里眼, Qianli Yan), one of Goddess Mazu's two guardians generals.
In the back, the Zulai Hand art car. Zulai is one of the gods in Chinese culture, it represents mercy and love. Note: It looks amazingly like Buddha!
Procession of the Mazu crew, an all-Chinese camp with amazing art and a Brazilian drum marching band.
The members of the Mazu camp were all Chinese, mostly from Taiwan, with some coming from Hong Kong and Mainland China (PRC, aka People's Republic of China).

Natural Cave in Rain Forest (Borneo)
This is the Great Cave in the Niah National Park (Borneo).
The wooden poles that can be seen hanging from the roof of the cave are (or were) used by birds-nest collectors to climb and harvest the birds-nests.

Sailing Stones on the Racetrack dry lake in Death Valley (California)
Sailing stones are rocks that move in long tracks on the smooth and perfectly flat surface of a dry lake, without human or animal intervention. The rocks are most likely propelled by strong winds while entrapped in floating ice sheets (or icebergs), after winter rains flooded the dry lake and made the mud soft and slippery.

The Scorpion art car, by Mantis Entertainment.

The Scorpion is a 55 feet long, 40 feet wide, 38 feet tall exact replica of a female emperor scorpion named Fluffy. The Scorpion boasts a computer controlled 7 gun flame thrower off the tail, 20 hydraulic points which make the arms legs, tail, and claws all move in a sinister spider manner including hydraulics which make the entire truck lift off the ground to produce the most eerie of effects.
The giant scorpion art car was one of the mightiest thing on the playa this year.

Naga Sadhu with ritual beads and trident, at the Kumbh Mela 2013 festival near Allahabad (India).

Stencil graffiti
The Public Health Service Hospital (PHSH) is located in the Presidio of San Francisco. It has been rehabilitated into luxury condos housing in 2010, and it is now called "Presidio Landmark Apartments".

Soma, created by the Flaming Lotus Girls, captures the essence of a neuron. Spinning balls of fire act as nuclei within the dodecahedron cell bodies. Dendrites extend up into the sky and reach down to the earth, emitting constant flame and color changing light. Along her axon, extend eighteen individually controlled fire effects across the stainless steel arch with sequenced LEDs on the underside.

This older type of motorized three-wheeler originally used a 2-stroke engine attached to the front wheel, but now they generally run on a single-cylinder diesels.
