One of the must visit theme parks is "Futuroscope" or "Parc du Futuroscope". A theme park based upon multimedia, cinematographic futuroscope and audio-visual techniques. It has several cinemas in 3D, 4D and IMAX along with many other attractions and shows, some of which are the only examples in the world. It's a very popular parc with at least 2 million visitors a year since it opened in 1987.

The "Struytse Hoeck" shopping center (founded May 27, 1982), the largest shopping center in Voorne-Putten and Goeree-Overflakkee. A large and modern shopping center with more than 130 shops, informal restaurants and services in the center of Hellevoetsluis, South Holland. A popular destination for both residents of Hellevoetsluis and people from the surrounding region. And, there is free parking too!
The name Struytse Hoeck refers to the location of the shopping center. It is located at the intersection of the Struytsedijk and the Oude Maasdijk. The Struytsedijk used to be an important trade route.

De Wolf en de Zeven Geitjes (Est. 1973) - a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm and first appeared in the collection Kinder- und Hausmärchen in 1812.
In the Efteling is "The Wolf and the Seven Goats" depicted as a little house, where one can peek in through the windows, where the kids in the living room play a game of goose board. The wolf is standing outside the door, further on mother goat is on her way to the market. It was opened in 1973 and is one of the last extensions of the Fairytale Forest by Anton Pieck.

Markthal Rotterdam(Est. 2014) - a residential and office building with a market hall underneath. It has the largest glass-window cable structure in Europe. The inside of the building is adorned with an 11.000 m2 artwork by Arno Coenen, named Hoorn des Overvloeds (Horn of Plenty). The artwork shows strongly enlarged fruits, vegetables, seeds, fish, flowers and insects. It was made using digital 3D-techniques, printed on 4000 perforated aluminum panels and now on the inside of the hall. The traditional Christmas tree burning in Hellevoetsluis is always a very nice event. It starts with the Christmas tree hunt for the children to earn lottery tickets. The municipality as an organizer collects about 1000 Christmas trees that are burned as a large fire under the supervision of the fire brigade on the Zuidfront or Land van Paling. It attracts more and more visitors over the years, children win some nice prizes with the raffle tickets and the atmosphere is very nice. It is actually also the warm welcome of the year, especially with the glow of the fire of 1300 degrees Celsius.

Steam engines - very impressive!. Many historic steam engines, impressive, large and hissing, and beautifully lit in the evening. Not only were they parked somewhere but they also drove around the old city center which got a lot of attention from the public. The sound of the steam whistles has long been the typical sound for another summer edition of the Vestingdagen event.

Jardin de Marqueyssac - Château de Marqueyssac (Est.17th-century) - a château and gardens located at Vézac on high cliffs with spectacular panoramic views overlooking the Dordogne Valley. Build by Bertrand Vernet de Marqueyssac, Counselor to Louis XIV. The original garden à la française was attributed to a pupil of André Le Nôtre. Redesigned and restored by new owners during the 19th and second half 20th century into romantic and picturesque style gardens with nowadays more than 150,000 boxwood trees carved in fantastic shapes, terraces, alleys, linden- and cypress trees, stone pine and six kilometers of walks covering more than 22 hectare surrounding the chateau.
It's still a private property but open to the public since 1996 and one of the most visited garden in the Perigord region. Best know as "Jardins suspendus de Marqueyssac" (hanging gardens) or "Les Jardins de Marqueyssac", a National Historical Monument and one of the "Jardin Remarquable" of France.

A huge horse statue of Pegasus in front of the Pegasus Express ride. A magnificent statue that almost shows what to expect of the ride.
After a very nice decorated waiting queue it's finally time to enter your seat. It's a very nice ride, twice the fun because it also runs the track in reverse.

These Gabare were in history flat-bottomed boats, used to transport all types of goods along the river. This came to and end with the introduction of railroads and the use of many bridges and roads. These old bridges are still there at regular intervals along the river.
Modern Gabares offer a nice tour at the Dordogne river, the many views at castles and villages are priceless.

Notice the bright yellow spot in the cliff. In 1957, part of the cliff collapsed on six houses in the village below, killing three people and blocking the road. A stele and a plaque have been placed at the base of the cliff in memory of the victims.
In 2010, part of the ceiling of the troglodyte fortress collapsed, along with part of the fort's 12th century curtain wall. With the threat of a 320 ton rock collapsing, the road was once again closed until measures were completed. The restoration of the fort took more than ten years before it was accessible to the public again. Later in 2013 the departmental road 703 was closed for five months to create safe pedestrian routes on both sides of the road, little to no historic sight but the modern and sleek concrete now functions as a safe pedestrian boulevard.

Pieke oet de Stokstraot - beeld van Batteraof Pieke, zittend op een muurtje, met naast hem zijn hond Maoke. Pieke houdt een stuk zeep in zijn handen. Het zijn twee figuren die uit het boek 'Sjengske' van Bér Hollewijn komen.
De straat waar het beeld staat was in de Romeinse tijd al bebouwd. Later verpauperde de straat. In de negentiende en eerste helft twintigste eeuw werd de straat vooral bewoond door armen, die vaak met meerdere families één verdieping van een pand bewoonden. In de jaren vijftig waren de huizen in de Stokstraat krotten en heerste er soms bittere armoede bij de families die er woonden. Na een zeer ingrijpende renovatie waarin gevels van huizen van elders in de stad werden gebruikt was deze buurt voor deze mensen absoluut veel te duur.

Dolphins at "Théatre de Poseidon", a very nice show too and some of the very few animals in the parc. After more then 30 years it finally came to an end, instead there is a show with humans, no feeding permitted.
