Medieval atmosphere in the historic city center (Capture of Brielle/Netherlands) - Medieval bustle but above all a very nice atmosphere in the historic city center. There is a lot to see, many people are dressed in medieval costumes and many stalls and terraces have been given a medieval atmosphere. Capture of Brielle
April 1st, 1572 - the capture of Brielle by the Watergeuzen. A turning point in the uprising of the Low Countries against Spain in the Eighty Years' War. Militarily the success was minor as the port of Brielle was poorly defended by the Spanish, but it provided the first foothold on land for the rebels at a time when the rebellion was all but crushed, and it offered the sign for a new revolt throughout the Netherlands which led to the formation of the Dutch Republic.
The Watergeuzen were led by William van der Marck, Lord of Lumey, and by two of his captains, Willem Bloys van Treslong and Lenaert Jansz de Graeff. After they were expelled from England by Elizabeth I, they needed a place to shelter their 25 ships. As they sailed towards Brielle, they were surprised to find out that the Spanish garrison led by the Spanish "Iron" Duke of Alva protagonists was poorly defended. On the evening of April 1 in 1572, the 600 men sacked the port, rammed the city gates, defeated the Spanish soldiers and liberated Brielle as the first Dutch city in the Netherlands from de Spanish .
Nowadays a very popular annual UNESCO event with lots of Watergeuzen, Spanish soldiers and medieval dressed people in a city center all dressed up just like then on that historical day.

The "Landgoed Mildenburg" estate dates back to the sixteenth century. In the course of the 18th century, the Van Leyden van Leeuwen family built a country house and laid out the surrounding landscape still visible today. In even included a lighthouse and In the southwest corner of the site a variant of a starry forest with avenues and wooded areas, a copy of the labyrinth at Versailles according to an image by Charles Perrault from 1679.
The house has since been demolished and the garden has become a wilderness. Nowadays the estate is a monument and a beautiful nature reserve and managed and maintained by the Zuid Hollands Landschap. What remains for visitors is to enjoy the remaining walking routes with majestic lanes through a beech forest with many traces of the former park along the Dunes of Oostvoorne. Sjötter aan de Poort - on September 25, 2010, the year in which the "Valkenburg Schutterij" existed for 550 years, the life-size bronze statue with the name "Sjotter aan de Poort" was unveiled. The image of the "Sjotter" is dressed in the uniform of a shooter "der Oude en Jonge Nobele" for which a member of the schutterij has served as a model.
The original flag of Valkenburg is a red lion on a white field, the design dates back to Walram (1268-1302), Lord of Valkenburg-Monschau. The red lion of Valkenburg is used in the flag of Limburg. Valkenburg has the medieval sister cities of Bütgenbach, St. Vith and Monschau and is a member of the international association "European Walled Towns (EWT).

Baron Philippe de Rothschild came up with the idea of having each year's label designed by a famous artist of the day.[1] In 1946, after the success of the 1945 label, this became a permanent and significant aspect of the Mouton image with labels created by some of the world's great painters and sculptors. In short this decoration is enough food to enjoy a meeting at this hotel about the art of wine making.

Everyone chooses a place to live, a place that suits the resident. In architecture, it is valuable for each residential location to have the opportunity to give it its own unique identity. The variety of facades with doors, windows, balconies, gardens and more gives every house its own appearance. Together this forms a map of the community that is recognizable to everyone.
In modern architecture with sleek, especially repetitive housings, everyone seems equal. But the community then loses color, the unique character of the residents is then almost invisible. Residents express this indoors, which is rarely visible to everyone. It creates a multitude of closedness in a place where we should be able to live together happily and healthily.

Many themes, from prehistory to the recent past that belong to history, are exhibited here. Mostly life-sized models or even real objects comprise the ever-growing collection. Often with an educational character in which you can even participate actively, such as participating in paleontological excavations or prospecting for gold, make this theme park particularly suitable as a learning environment. Many small fishing vessels really add color to the harbour. Many of those in a typical design frequently seen at the Côte d'Azur of the French Riviera. Fishermen still go out to the Mediterranean sea for various catch of the day portions. Overall the harbor looks like time has no great influence, so little had changed because it's almost the same view just like the vintage photos and paintings.

This includes species like cheetahs, lions, Servals, wild cats, leopards, Caracals, white lions, black panthers, a Katanga lion, jaguars, Ocelots, margays, Geoffroy's cats, Oncillas, pumas and bobcats. The jaguarundis which are very rare in European zoos. Most recent addition are black footed cats.
