At this location a group of five dolmens (D21, D22, D23, D24 and D25) located near the place Borger - Bronneger in the province of Drenthe. Dolmen D21 contained most of the archaeological finds dated to 3400 BC. It is also the most photogenic dolmen due to the huge beech tree. Also a short distance away are two burial mounds from the Bronze Age.

De Hondsrug UNESCO Geopark - Hunebed (Dolmen) - a megalithic burial chamber from the Neolithic (4000-3000 BC) of the Trechterbeker (Funnelbeaker) culture. As a portal grave built from huge stones that were dragged along by the ice from southern Sweden and Finland during the Ice Age for about 150,000 years. There are 52 dolmens in Drenthe and two in Groningen and traces of dolmens have been found in at least thirty other places, but without the large stones. Originally there would have been at least 88 dolmens in the Netherlands.

UNESCO Geopark de Hondsrug - the only European Geopark in the Netherlands, a landscape with ridges and valleys that originated in the Ice Age about 150,000 years ago. Known for the various Dolmens from the Neolithic and burial mounds dating from the Bronze Age. In 2016, the Hondsrug was added to Unesco Geopark areas.
Mushrooms at the Mildenburg Estate. The protected dune and nature reserve is exceptionally rich in many types of mushrooms in autumn. The many mushrooms are the most special characteristic of this area in the autumn season.

Landgoed Mildenburg - originally the estate dates back to the sixteenth century. In the course of the 18th century, the Van Leyden van Leeuwen family built a country house as a country house and laid out the woods. The house has since been demolished and the garden has become a wilderness. But the estate is now a beautiful nature reserve and managed by the Zuid Hollands Landschap. There are marked walking routes over the old oak avenues, through a beech forest, over the dunes and along a Stinsenplant garden.

Baron 1898 (Est. 2015) - a dive coaster in which visitors take a perpendicular free fall. The attraction is themed as a late nineteenth century coal mine as in the Limburg Mining Region, but in the story, and of course for the Efteling, told to be a gold mine. The name Baron 1898 refers to the background story of the saga of the Witte Wieven, in which a greedy mining baron, Gustave Hooghmoed, has found a gold vein and wants to extract as much gold as possible from the ground. However, the fertile soil is protected by the Witte Wieven.

It places riders in a seemingly ordinary hotel elevator, and present the riders with a fictional backstory in which people have mysteriously disappeared from the elevator. It's the second tallest attraction.

Sprookjesbeelden aan Zee (Fairy Tale Sculptures by the Sea) - a free sculpture terrace on the boulevard of Scheveningen. The sympathetic sculptures by the American sculptor Tom Otterness are part of "Museum Beelden aan Zee" behind it. The more than twenty works of art depict various fairy tales, such as those of Gulliver, Hansel and Gretel, Tin Soldier, Moby Dick, Pinocchio and Hans Brinker.
Most striking is the gigantic Haringeter that has become the icon of the new Scheveningen boulevard. In total, the sculpture terrace comprises three large and twenty smaller bronze works of art with a skin of shiny patina, playfully placed on the boulevard, on islands and banisters. For photographers the glossy sculptures are a popular subject, not easy to isolate from the wandering crowds on this boulevard, but especially to capture these sculptures with some nice contrasting clouds or a sunset in the background.

The Vestingdagen (Fortress Days) in Hellevoetsluis, an annual multi-day event since 1979. Very popular and with lots of activities in and around the former naval base of the Netherlands. With many historic and vintage ships and vehicles, steam engines, fair and market, various types of demonstrations in the air and ofcourse on the water. Also, lots to do like short boattrips, visit the various musea, watch the naval parade and fireworks show late at night. With about 200.000 visitors in total a well attended event.

The Tram Museum Rotterdam is a museum about the history of public transport in Rotterdam. The museum is located in the former Hillegersberg depot of the Rotterdam Electric Tram (RET) on the Kootsekade in the city of Rotterdam Hillegersberg. The museum gives a representative picture of the tram types that ran in Rotterdam. There is also a workshop where museum trams are restored and maintained. In addition, they provide tours through the Rotterdam city center while enjoying a drink, snack, some music and everything that can be seen along the route. The Rotterdamse Electrische Tram (RET) was founded on October 15, 1927. Calanques National Park - Calanques National Park (French: Parc national des Calanques, Est. 2012), located in Bouches-du-Rhône, Southern France. Panther De Ville car driven by Cruella De Vil - this car was used in Disney's 1996 live-action movie 101 Dalmatians and 102 Dalmatians as Cruella de Vil's car.
The Panther De Ville is a neo-classic luxury vehicle which was produced by Panther Westwinds, the British specialty maker, from 1974 to 1985. About 60 De Villes were hand-built, for many years Britain's most expensive listed production car.
With a wheelbase of 142 inches (3,600 mm), the tubular-framed De Ville used a straight-six engine or a V12 engine from Jaguar Cars. The flowing wing lines and big headlights of the De Ville were styled to imitate the Bugatti Royale.

In this corner of the Place de Cornieres the facade corners touch. They had to make way for people to pass through resulting in this unique passage by removing stones in the structure of the arched arcade. Must have been a huge discussion to solve this issue.

The small village Monpazier, a 13th-century bastide town, founded in 1285 and built by King Edward I of England for trade, commerce and justice. It almost didn't change in the past centuries, a medieval town square lined with an arched arcade, a 16th-century covered market, three of the original six rampared city gates remain and many other traces of medieval history. This picturesque small village is one of the "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France" villages, said to be one of the most atractive in southwest France.

The steam fumes of this lignite factory caused a narrow streak of local snowfall in parts of Limburg at 26 februari 2018 - Weisweiler/DE
Flames and roar by the multi headed Draconicon Dragon. The visitors cheer when after some herioc fighting with huge flames and intense roar the multi headed dragon becomes silent. It also marks the end of a spectecular show and performance with horses and birds of prey. Kids are very impressed, they could even feel the heat of the flames.

Van Nelle - established in 1782 by Johannes van Nelle with a shop in coffee, tea and tobacco at the Leuvehaven in Rotterdam. Grew between 1837 and 1881 with worldwide trade contacts and own plantations in the Dutch East Indies a coffee roasting factory processing tobacco and tea. The company distinguished itself through its own approach, with appealing advertising figures such as "Piggelmee". Kasteel Schaloen (Est. 1381), a castle in Oud-Valkenburg in the South Limburg municipality of Valkenburg aan de Geul. After a long history of destruction, fire and ongoing reconstruction, it was finally restored in 1894 by architect Pierre Cuypers in neo-gothic style with an attached western tower, stair tower to the front and raised ark turrets. Tom Thumb stealing the Seven-league boots of the Ogre. Tom Thumb in the Efteling is based on one of the eight fairytales published by Charles Perrault "Le petit Poucet" in "Histoires ou contes du temps passé" in 1697. The scene, designed as "Klein Duimpje", is since 1998 in the Fairytale Forest. Tom Thumb is stealing the Seven-league boots of the sleeping ogre. To call Tom Thumb, you have to call his name in a hole of a wooden log.
Seven-league boots are an element in European folklore. The boots allow the person wearing them to take strides of seven leagues per step, resulting in great speed..

Zwartewaal Landscape
The small village of Zwartewaal, part of the municipality Voorne aan Zee in the Dutch province of South Holland, The Netherlands. It still retains the harbor, in medieval history connected to the North Sea, the surrounding countryside consists of various protected nature reserves with polders, dykes and a variety of agriculture.
Steam engines - very impressive!. Many historic steam engines, impressive, large and hissing, and beautifully lit in the evening. Not only were they parked somewhere but they also drove around the old city center which got a lot of attention from the public. The sound of the steam whistles has long been the typical sound for another summer edition of the Vestingdagen event.

The Vestingdagen (Fortress Days) in Hellevoetsluis, an annual multi-day event since 1979. Very popular and with lots of activities in and around the former naval base of the Netherlands. With many historic and vintage ships and vehicles, steam engines, fair and market, various types of demonstrations in the air and ofcourse on the water. Also, lots to do like short boattrips, visit the various musea, watch the naval parade and fireworks show late at night. With about 200.000 visitors in total a well attended event.
