It's A Small World but room for all.

.

Colorful scenes pass by, but especially the parade-like accompanying music remains in the head long after the visit. The attraction is strongly reminiscent of Disney's "It's A Small World" but it is very nice that there is an Efteling variant.

---

The cheerful "Carnival Festival" (Est.1984) is a dark ride in the "Reizenrijk" Efteling section. The attraction takes visitors through colorful twenty scenes with music and about 280 puppets where various countries are portrayed from different cultures around the world with typical, clichéd characteristics and the music. A well-known figure in this attraction is "Loeki de Leeuw", so visitors continue to say "Asjemenou!".

Peyzac-le-Moustier: Roque Saint Christophe - History

La Roque Saint-Christophe (one of the 147 exceptional prehistoric UNESCO sites since 1979) is a large limestone rock with rock dwellings (abris sous-roche in French) along the river Vézère near Peyzac-le-Moustier in the Dordogne region. The cliff is one kilometer long and towers over the road below and the river Vézère at about a hundred meters. The rock has five terraces that were created on the one hand by the erosion of the river water 60 million years ago and on the other hand by the action of frost on the limestone during the ice ages of the Quaternary era.

The earliest dating is the Moustérien period, the caves, dating from the Middle Paleolithic era, were first inhabited as a shelter in the Neolithic period. There are traces that people already lived here 55,000 years ago and a skeleton of a Neanderthal of about 40,000 years old has been discovered. People also lived there in the Iron Age, remains such as tools and an engraving of a Madonna from the Gallo-Roman era from the first century AD. In 976 it became a fortress to protect against the Normans. During the Hundred Years' War (1337-1453) the fortress served as a fortress against the English. In the sixteenth century, the city and the fortress were occupied by the Protestant Huguenots. Finally in 1588, the Catholic French King Henry III ordered expulsion and the complete destruction of the structures and the fortifications.

Nowadays, reconstructions show what life must have been like in the fortress, such as the medieval construction site, forge, drum winch (a kind of winch), quarry, armory and a kitchen from the year 1000 of the fortress.

Meet an greet Goofy, they often don't say much but it's nice to meet them. All these characters have an autograph too to collect.

Goofy - full name G. G. "Goofy" Goof, a funny animal cartoon character created in 1932 as Dippy Dawg at Walt Disney Productions. Goofy is a tall, anthropomorphic dog who typically wears a turtle neck and vest, with pants, shoes, white gloves, and a tall hat originally designed as a rumpled fedora. A close friend of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. He is normally characterized as extremely clumsy and somewhat dimwitted, yet this interpretation is not always definitive; occasionally Goofy is shown as intuitive, and clever, albeit in his own unique, eccentric way.

Puerto Dorado village overrun by pirates in search of treasure. The first sight is the town square, where some pirates have kidnapped the mayor, Carlos, and threaten to drown him in a well if he doesn't divulge the location of the treasure. Carlos' wife tells him to be brave and not talk; she is shot at as Carlos is repeatedly dunked in the water while several other captive city officials look on. Captain Jack Sparrow is seen hiding behind some dresses. An auction scene follows, where a pirate auctions off loot from the townspeople to other pirates. A redheaded female pirate is more interested in the town's rum supply, as are the bidders, who ignore the chickens that are currently offered for bidding.

In a next scene, pirates run around chasing women holding trays of food, and two foolish buccaneers who have stolen snacks are chased by an angry woman holding a rolling pin. Just beyond is the "Pooped Pirate" drunkenly waving a map and key to a treasure vault, boasting that Captain Jack Sparrow will never see it. Jack is hiding in a barrel just behind him, popping out and getting a good look at the map over the pirate's shoulder. Off to the side, a pirate by the name of "Old Bill" wants to share rum with a group of terrified alley cats.

Carefree, tipsy pirates succeed in ravaging the town and setting it aflame, filling the night air with an orange glow.

Sarlat-la-Caneda - One of the most prominent villages in the Dordogne region is Sarlat-la-Canéda. A very popular destination in the Périgord Noir, maybe because modern history has largely passed it by. Sarlat has remained preserved and one of the towns most representative of 14th century France. The old centre consists of impeccably restored stone buildings, with 77 protected monuments it's on France's tentative list for future nomination as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Largely car-free with lots of narrow ancient streets and small stores, an absolute pleasure to walk through and to discover.

I's very nice to watch the large lemur population in the park. Many lemur species are represented, including the ring-tailed lemur (Lemur catta), the red ruffed lemur (Varecia rubra), the crowned lemur (Eulemur coronatus), and the red-bellied lemur (Eulemur rubriventer). These lemurs roam freely about the park, and occasionally interact with visitors.

Steam engines on tour. Steam engines in and around the historic city center, once they have come to a halt in front of the Town Hall, you can really see how impressive they are. Hissing, big and heavy, the smell of burning coal, from time to time the loud whistling of the steam whistles that could be heard far and wide. This steam whistle sound has been the sign that it was Vestingdagen for several editions of this event.

Hellevoetsluis has no direct link in the past with steam engines, at most with the Pomphuis of the Jan Blanken Dry Dock, the Machinistenschool or later a steam train connection with Rotterdam. Nevertheless, these British steam engines were seen and experienced as a top attraction.

It really surprised the beach visitors, during a clear sunny day all of a sudden the beach was covered with a thick fog, in this case sea fret.

---

Haar is typically formed over the sea and is blown to the land by the wind. This commonly occurs when warmer moist air moves over the relatively cooler North Sea causing the moisture in the air to condense, forming hair.

Fog forms over the sea when cold air flows over relatively warm seawater or when warm air comes into contact with a cold sea. In spring and early summer, an extensive area of fog can arise when warm air from Southern Europe rises above the cold North Sea.
