The harvest around our area is about complete already, and so it’s time to grab some straw bale shots😁.
I was woken early the other morning by the wife, who mentioned that there was some mist and colour in the sky (you’ve got to love her😁); and so I popped out to grab some quick shots. Although this spot is only a couple of minutes from where I live, the sky colours were already dissipating. However, as the sun came above the hill I was able to get some shots of the backlit bales.
The sun is a little too bright in this shot having fully crested the hill, but it’s the wife’s favourite from the set.
I've just had a weekend away to Dartmoor and Friday night I caught an epic sunset at this intriguing little spot called Windy Post.
When I first started doing landscape photography I went here and got a fantastic sunset then too. I've just looked back at the shots in my Devon album, gosh it was 2016! Have I really been doing photography that long?
I wouldn't mind if I thought I'd improved!

Our view is of the idyllic islands of Tarutao National Park, Thailand, on an atmospheric early morning. The Thai National Marine Park comprises 51 outstanding forested islands and coral reefs. It was established in 1974.
Prior to that it was the home for centuries of the Chao Lay or Sea Gypsies (aka People of the Sea). Otherwise, Thailand's nomadic seafaring tribes, who used to roam freely across the Andaman Sea without ties to any country or nationality.
The southernmost end of the park lies on the border with Malaysia, just north of Langkawi's island coastline where this photo was shot from Datai Bay. It offers yet another beautiful nature place to visit in this part of the world.

The muted colours of the sunset are reflected by the calm surface of the lake, as ripples gently pass by..
In addition, the shallow lake water is warm in tone, as affected by rocks, sand, and algae underneath the surface. Such features all contribute to the lake's pastel colours.

Next to the Amstelveens Poel, there is a nice path called "de Oeverlanden". A lot of mosquito's but worth the walk with my camera. Enjoy your (in NL tropical) day!
The man was walking alone in the dark night, the deserted streets being the silent witness of his loneliness. He walked with measured slowness, pondering his life and his choices, while the glow of the streetlamps dimly illuminated his lonely path. In that moment of stillness and solitude, he felt both free and vulnerable, but he kept on going, with only his thoughts and memories for company.
