As some of the trees change colour and the sun is lower in the sky, the lighting is prone to significant change on the hills.
Little Blue Heron
The Little Blue Heron (Egretta caerulea) is a small heron. It breeds in the Gulf States of the US, through Central America and the Caribbean south to Peru and Uruguay. It is a resident breeder in most of its range, but some northern breeders migrate to the Southeastern US or beyond in winter. There is post-breeding dispersal to well north of the nesting range, as far as the Canada–US border.

As we descend from Sgor Mor, the clouds lift from the mountain tops, clearly revealing The Devils Peak, Cairn Toul, Sgor an Lochain Uaine and Braeriach. The deep valley of Glen Dee leading to the Lairig Ghru marches into the distance. To give a sense of scale, a walkers bothy can just be made out at the foot of Devil's Peak deep in the Glen.
At a height of 2667 feet (813 meters), Sgor Mor doesn't quite qualify as a Munro as it's 333 feet (111 meters) short, but it is a Corbett and offers some great views of the Cairngorms.

SCANDALIZE
As the title states, this is Rock Creek about 2 miles east of North Lake in the Eastern Sierras. This is west of Bishop,Ca. About 9,000 in the Eastern Sierras.
Sun rays kiss the cloud tops and shed golden light on the leaf tips of hinterland gardens. Some lights a lounge room wood fire as the blues and purples emerge in the smoke and the low clouds on the horizon. Sunset reflection on the Gold Coast.
As soon as I saw this moon rise above those hills in the distance, I left my companions and wandered off to this tufa formation. I took my time to compose my shot and didn't think too much of my companions who were looking for me. I guess I was a lunatic!
Finally that time of the year when the light is radiant and warm yet the weather is not too hot has arrived. Though I am still stuck with my old gear, I am hoping to catch some rays this weekend and at least one decent shot xD. Wishing everyone a fantastic weekend. Peace ^__^

As expected the charger for my camera made a surprise reappearance on the day after I‘d bought a new one. Anyway, I was able to take photos of my new home again and did a little tour around a bird sanctuary on Sunday where I took this shot. Unfortunately my computer is still in a box, and I can’t geotag my photos on my tablet; but honestly that doesn’t really matter anyway as the Flickr app tells me that supposedly I took all my geotagged photos in Arinacrinachd, Scotland. (I hope I got that right... does anyone know how to pronounce it? Just out of curiosity LOL)
This is as much of the sunset we saw from Mynydd Gelliwastad last evening as we turned around and drove home. Taken in the same spot as in my previous upload.
The shamisen is a three-stringed traditional Japanese musical instrument derived from the Chinese sanxian. It is played with a plectrum called a bachi.
Traditionally, the strings were made of silk, while the skin covering the body was usually dog or cat skin. The bashi, or plectrum, was typically made of ivory, tortoise shell or buffalo horn.
As I sit eating some of my sandwiches, trying to shelter from the cold 45mph winds that are blowing around the summit Glas Tulaichean, my view is obscured by the low clouds that shrouds what should be a dramatic landscape. But, on the other hand, the clouds do add a certain atmosphere to the aspect.
Glas Tulaichean is my 5th Munro of the season and the 28th in total, bringing me to a Munro completion rate of near enough 10%. The mountain stands at 1051 meters (3448 feet) and is the last one I will do as I have now moved away from Scotland and back to my roots in South Yorkshire as the pull of the Grandchildren was just too strong.

The 2-duckling version is my favorite, despite having the fewest ducklings in the capture, because they are not both going in the same direction. They finally became somewhat comfortable with my presence that they were not looking for an immediate escape route.
As we arrived home one day, Mr Maine Coon appeared around the corner of the house, watched us get out of the car and soon found a spot among the plants to sit and contemplate for a bit.
Luckily I had taken my iPhone out with me and had it to hand.
As I sat on our deck there was movement in the tree and lo and behold Randy the raccoon is back. My first sighting was in the spring while I was on furlough and I hadn't seen him since. He looks pretty darn comfortable. Ferguson, Missouri.
As I implied with the previous photo, the line east of Fès is not electrified. Service is almost exclusively covered by class DH 400 locomotives, with numbers 416-420 (certified for a top speed of 140 kph) covering part of the passenger services. Freight service is sparse, particularly on a Friday (the holy day in Islam, equivalent to Sunday in Christian countries): I have only seen one freight trein from the rooftop terrace of my riad back in Fès - too far and too built-in to be photographed.
Here, Al-Atlas 101 (the same train as on the previous photo, which one can easily overtake) is crossing a side arm of the Idriss I reservoir (visible in the background), hauled by DH 420. The loco is of American origin (EMD NGT26CW-3) but built by TŽV Gredelj in Croatia. The reservoir is normally full of water, but an extended drought has laid bare the small old railway bridge visible between two pillars of the new one. Ouled Ayad, 06-01-2023.

Just back from a few days visiting family in Birmingham, England. The whole of the city centre in Birmingham has been dug up in order for tram lines to be laid, so it was nice to escape from all the noise and chaos and take a walk along the canal. Image taken on my phone so a bit grainy!!

As we took the ferry back from the zoo to Circular Quay we got a good look at Diamond Princess, which was anchored in Sydney Harbour.
Diamond Princess is a British-registered cruise ship owned and operated by Princess Cruises. She began operation in March 2004 and primarily cruises in Asia during the northern hemisphere summer and Australia during the southern hemisphere summer. She is a subclassed Grand-class ship, which is also known as a Gem-class ship.
