Krzysztof Klusik (born December 21, 1987) is a Polish painter, known for working with Italian curator and art critic Gaia Serena Simionati. Exhibitions that they did together - Deficit (The Lack) in Galleria Poggiali e Forconi in Florence (2013), and Mitate in Galleria Effearte in Milan (2014) were his career milestones. Klusik also took part in the finale of the exhibition of Premio Combat Prize in Museo Civico G. Fattori in Livorno (2012) and did several shows in Poland, such as Redystrybucje in Galeria U in Wrocław (2013).

Artist's Statement for "Fragments of an Ancient Poetry":
Imagine a word such as moon. When you say moon, your lips curve. The word itself has curves. It conjures: round and old, and traveling on a long, slow-sounding journey. It's interesting that along with the sound of a word, the visual aspect of thte word affects its meaning.
As a sculptor, I'm fascinated by the shapes of language and as a writer I'm drawn to the meaning of shapes. This is a natural merging of two of my primary interests. "Fragments of an Ancient Poetry" is a three-dimensional page of my sketchbook-journal, revealing the increasingly refined and complex strokes of a thought process, or poetic idea.

Mexican sombreros. Fredrick spent a lot of time in Mexico in his later years because he had arthritis and the weather in NY is not conducive to that.

I create pieces that acknowledge and respond to the physical presence of the person viewing them. This comes from an uncertainty about my own place in the world; the urge to have a unique identity with clearly marked personal space conflicts with a longing for real intimacy and a feeling of being part of a community.
In some pieces, there are details that will not read from across the room: you must get close to see them, much closer than you would to the face of a stranger.
Colors may cozy up together or push violently. Spaces between shapes create varying degrees of tension.
I take inspiration from everyday objects, anthropological images, microscopic life, and the surface of our planet, utilizing patterning and repetition that makes creation a meditative and obsessive act.
I will always be impressed at the ability of some people to dab blotches of paint on a canvas to create a coherent image.
When in Edinburgh we came across this delightful young woman on the Royal Mile who was painting with her feet.
I think she has Cerebral Palsy but that obviously hasn't stopped her using her skills in this way and boy could she chat!
Which is why I didn't get her name.

And just as I take the picture he points his finger at me and says:
"But NO FLASH!"

Along Artist Ridge Trail
Artist Point is located in northwest Washington State, at the end of the Mount Baker Scenic Highway. At an elevation of 5,000 feet, Artist Point is an area of exceptional beauty.
After Norris, we headed to the Great Canyon of the Yellowstone, the main attraction being Lower Falls, a gigantic waterfall of 308 feet (94 meters) in height, making it almost twice as high as Niagara Falls. Artist Point is a famous viewing point on the south rim of the canyon, this was taken in the morning.
