It was amazing to be able to watch local artist Katie Sett paint this mural at the Cutlery Works in Neepsend, Sheffield, over a number of days in June/July 2020. This is the third day I saw Katy at work, Friday 3rd July 2020. The finished mural features Kelham-born anti-slavery campaigner Mary Anne Rawson meeting American Frederick Douglass, a former slave who became a famous abolitionist. Fascinatingly the pair met at Wincobank Hall in Sheffield in 1846.

Old Town of Tallinn, Estonia, an UNESCO World Heritage site.This building was old, dark & decadent. Just perfect for an artist.
The Ickwell Scarecrow Festival was terrific fun. There was a walking route through Ickwell and Northill, in Bedfordshire, and 36 scarecrows to see. They were unfailingly creative and well executed! A great diversion for a Sunday afternoon.
