A smaal part of the cyclone damage here in Hakes Bay. The apples, covered in slimey silt, lie rotting on the ground. The river valleys are very fertile but run a high risk when cyclones come by. Thanks for passing by but don't be tempted to eat an apple here.

Bought at the farmers' market this past week and enjoyed so completely...

This is a test shot, after cleaning and lubricanting my old vintage 50mm lens. It’s not a masterpiece.

10,957 days or more simply, 30 years ago, I said "I do" to my husband. Though today is a milestone day it is going to be a normal day filled with our regular schedule of work and such. Tonight my youngest daughter and her friend want to celebrate with us so we will all have a party and dinner. We still enjoy hanging out together, laughing and playing, and need to improve still on getting stuff done. I am grateful for his patience, love and support and can't imagine life without him in it.

leaves, bonfires, stubble, the old things go,
and the earth is grizzled.

I am realizing how difficult photography actually is. I had this idea in my head, but making it come out as an artistic photo is a whole different thing. I took about a million pictures, and only a few made the cut, even though I am still not completely happy with them. I guess I will have to continue to practice!!
