I’ve contemplated if I should post something so simple for my 365 but today marks the end of my 10-day mental diet challenge and it deserve a cheesy happy photo.
The mental diet is about not dwelling on any unresourceful thoughts or feelings and replace them with positivity and empowerment.
Setting a higher standard on our brain on what kind of thought we’re allowed to dwell on our minds.
I admit that the first few days were hard and it made me acutely aware of how human I am. But instead of focusing on the impossibility I really conditioned myself to turn into a positive emotional state and with every challenge that came every day, I focus the majority of my energy to the solution instead of fear.
It amazed me how our brains are capable of so many things. Amazed me how it can come up with things if we just asked the right questions. We need to learn how to ask the right questions for our brains to come up with the right solutions.
So here I am 10 days after the journey and I’m feeling very contented with so many realizations. I feel like I’m just radiating happiness and I want to remember this feeling whenever I’m down, to remind myself that things turn around and anything is always possible. That it’s always a state of mind never a person, never a destination and never ever a thing.
It’s a very special experience with you and yourself alone.
So here’s a cheesy happy self-portrait to remember this day!
Day 137 of 365.
"Both Eyes Open"
Happy Birthday to our artist, mathlete, friend, sister, "Juliet", thinker, and beautiful soul of a daughter.
"Daruma dolls are seen as a symbol of perseverance and good luck, making them a popular gift of encouragement. The doll has also been commercialized by many Buddhist temples to use alongside goal setting."

Day 299 of 365.
At Kamdesh’s new location at 14th and Webster.
“I just got this camera for my birthday. I’m taking pictures of everyone and I’m going to put them on the wall in the restaurant.”
Delicious food.

and the moon's laying low in the sky
forcing everything metal to shine
and the sidewalk holds diamonds like a jewelry store case
they argue "walk this way," "no walk this way"
was gonna post a picture with my newly found HitClips (aka the best early 2000s music player) but I ended up liking this one more

It's been a while. 8 years in fact since I last uploaded a photo here.
A lot has changed since then too. I bought my first house, married my childhood sweetheart, adopted two kittens and introduced a puppy to them in 2020!
I now work full-time as a product photographer for a clothing brand, but shoot lots and lots of weddings on the side.
This year I decided to start a 365 project, and aside from Instagram (link below), I felt like Flickr would be a good place to share my journey.

As we are now on 8th January, I obviously have a bit of a back log, but I will upload/share that soon.
How is everyone doing? Do any of my old followers still use this platform?
Whether you're still here or not, I'm hoping to see 2022 as the year of connecting with new photographers, and a year full of opportunity.
That's me done for now, but do say hello and share your photos with me.
