Happy fourweekaversary audrey! 1/13th of the way done :D

國際反恐同日。

不是他們完全不曉得,就是只有我完全不知道。

很抱歉,現在還不是我能對他們出櫃的時候,

所以,依舊封鎖親戚,除非他們了解彩虹的美麗。

(I Assume) Like many of my 365 classmates I have been laboring over what to do for my last shot of the project. There was this feeling like I needed to go out with a bang, something exceptional when compared with the rest of the collection. So the idea hatched... I would take a shot and then do more photoshop work than James Cameron had done on Avatar and I will cook up a masterpiece...I took the base shot and went to work... variations 1... 2... 5... 10... then I stepped away. They all looked good, and unique, but it just didnt feel right, not the way I wanted to close.

So this is the image I am going to leave you with... this is me (I was Nikon Man all along;-)... Nothing fancy here... 2 lights in the living room.

As far as goodbye's I am going to make it short and sweet. First - I am very thankful for the folks I met in this project, we can all attest there are days when this feels hopeless and unachievable and when things are really dark someone pulls you up. A nice comment, an inspiring image or a kick in the butt to keep you going. You are awesome (and you know who you all are)... I look forward to watching you grow as photographers and people from here on out.

Second - The folks who follow along regularly, thank for all your support and kind words. Nothing makes me happier than talking about the project and sharing some images. Glad I could include some of you in the daily shots, it was a lot of fun.

Finally - Family, you guys have supported me through what was a long and tough road and I know some of that spills over to you. Thanks for understanding, modeling, cleaning up and tolerating. I love you

I am still not sure if I will continue the project or not... I guess I can deal with that tomorrow. At a minimum I am going to do 100 portraits in 2010, this being the first one (I am cheating one day). These will not be self portraits (because I dont have the pretty for that ;-) but I hope they will be strong shots full of emotion... but we will see where I can take it.

Thanks again for everything in 2009, I am sure I will never forget it. 365

Thanks bg

355.365 - December 21, 2013 - My wife had a busy day today doing haircuts and hair color jobs for several people. She finished off they day coloring the hair of the daughter from a family that is good friends with us. It was a pretty drastic color change for her as she was previously a darker blonde. When she was done I asked her if she would pose for my photo of the day and she graciously agreed. We all thought the color turned out great and she seemed really happy with it as well!

344.365 - December 10, 2013 - Tonight started off great but finished not-so-great. My wife and I went to see the new "Hunger Games" movie with her brother and his wife. It was great getting out to dinner and a movie together. However, when we got home I discovered our apartment complex had towed our other car! It had had a flat tire on Friday (it has a slow leak and I don't drive it very often now that I ride the bus to work) and they had put a note on it that it needed to be taken care of by Monday or it would be towed. So, Saturday night I had inflated the tire and move the car to a different spot so they would know the car was not "inoperable". But, they had towed it anyway! Grrrrrr!! I was not happy and therefore lost my desire and motivation to take the day's picture when we got home! So, I'm uploading another pic from a shoot I did with my wife in a nearby park.

It cost me $134 to get my car back the next day and I phoned the management to tell them they needed to reimburse me since they towed it without just cause. It was not violating any of their rules when they towed it. They claimed the car's tire was flat when they towed it, but when I got to the tow yard to get the car, the tire was low, but not flat. I took a picture of it at the towing yard so they could see that I did not add air to it after the fact. I also asked the towing company if they had added any air to the tire and they said they had not! So, I e-mailed the picture to the management with the polite insistence that they reimburse me. I'm still waiting to hear back from them. I'm sure I'll have more on this later!

358.365 - December 24, 2013 - 'Twas the night before Christmas...and I suddenly realized I had not yet taken today's picture with only 4 minutes left of the day! So, I quickly grabbed my camera and my flash and set about setting up a quick picture. I didn't actually take this photo before midnight, but since I started on the photo before midnight I'm going say it counts. :) Anyway, it's actually now Christmas Day as I type this (12:40 a.m) so Merry Christmas!!

It's important to realize why we celebrate Christmas. God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ to be born as a man so that He could live a sinless, perfect life in order to ultimately die on the cross to pay the penalty that each of us owes for our sin. So, while we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ at Christmas, it is with the realization that He was born under the shadow of the cross that He would one day allow Himself to be crucified on for mankind, including those who nailed Him to it!

What about you? Have you turned from your sin and accepted Christ's free gift of salvation? I would be happy to converse in more depth with any of you that would like to talk more about this most-important decision. Feel free to send me a private message any time!

Day 2 of my Project 365. Today, I used an image I'm also using for a photography scavenger hunt I'm taking part in. This is my interpretation of the Holidays are over. It's always a sad sign the first week of January to see the tree get put out on the street. However, having today off was a perfect opportunity to clean up the house and remove all the holiday decorations.
