We're Here - Marooned without a Compass Day (Story Telling Pictures)
The compass lay on the table as Josephine walked out the door. Her father told her to never leave home without it, and today would unfold the painful lesson why.
She felt a tingle inside her head as she raced down the city streets in her celebrity-branded heels to wed the hunk of her dreams. The sensation was instantly identified as a warning sign of an impending episode of obtundity due to navigational neuron deficits (ODNND) - a hereditary condition she shared with her father.
If it were any other day, the thump in her chest would have thrown her into a panic, but not today. ODNND would soon deaden her senses, leaving her unable to tell left from right, to reason, or to communicate. Already she could feel the wooziness approaching. It had taken most of her childhood to learn to keep her compass close in a state like this. Her compass! Frantically, the purse was emptied only to reveal the missing lifeline.
Josephine swung around corner after corner knowing that soon she would be lost. It didn't take her long to find herself confronted with a gang of shoe thieves. It was then that she fully felt that thick confusion pour over her. Where was she? Should she move forward or backward to escape? Resistance was not an option as the thugs swiped her prized pumps.
She spent the afternoon wandering; though she couldn't discern between wandering and sitting still. The church doors and all her loved ones behind them slipped further and further away, and time drifted on without Josephine's notice.
The sun began to set behind the hills as the stupor melted away. If only she had two more steps; that would be all the time she would need to snap back into her right mind and return to the arms of her beloved. But poor Josephine only had one, and it landed her into a deep, dark walapini. All sense of direction returned to her as she landed with a thump. She knew she had definitely fallen down.
Thoughts of climbing out of the hole on the log that broke her fall were drowned out by despair. She would never find her way without her trusty compass. All hope was lost. And here we find our fallen friend... alone... in tears... without groom or shoes --- nor camera to take day 309 for her 365 project.

Today was, for the most part, a really lovely day. I went out and ended up looking at campsites and man I have never wanted to go camping this bad in my life. The down side is I don't think I'll be pulling off the camping trip I have in mind until next summer. BUT OH MY GOD SO MANY POTENTIALLY BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS! Like ASDFGHJKL; This place was stunning!
Work had a bit of a rocky start, I just found that the environment wasn't the most welcoming when I started, but it all passed with time.
Also hello and welcome to all of the new and wonderful people who have stumbled upon me. Quick question where did you all come from?
My mind is all over the place right now. Right now all I want for props is a heart, a flour sack, some rope, Ya know the goods. And all these strange and worrisome items are for multiple concepts. YAY FOR CONCEPTUALIZATION!
Well this week blew by so fast, have a fantastic weekend where ever you are!
Shot with Sony's NEX-5R for their "Unedited 310" project - showcasing my raw, undedited view of the wonderful city of Los Angeles.
Kevin had his first normal morning and work day for the first time in 3 weeks, which was refreshing. So I decided to rope him into helping me with today's photo.

I had to think about this one - I asked the teenager but she was, "what is a radio? Is that like streaming?"
And then I remembered we found something in my car called 'Radio 2' while she was trying to connect her phone.
I wish that there was an anti dust filter; it would be great in my house too
and (at a very extreme push) 10/119 arrows (dear 119 admin - I promise if I find a better shot I will replace this!)
CN 310 with leased unit CREX 1510 leading passes under a signal bridge by one of the entrances to Taschereau Yard on a cloudy morning. Operating mid-train is another leased unit, GECX 2034.
CN 310 with CN 5645 and GECX 7332 (still with a Seaboard sticker from CSX's 'heritage' program) heads east through Pointe-Claire.
I have knit the ribbing, short rows and the slipped stitch pattern as far as the bottom of the armholes on this pullover. This morning I lightly steamed both the front (at bottom) and back and this afternoon I joined the two pieces in the round. Only about 12 inches to go on the body (and then the sleeves, of course). The pattern is Tiny Dancer, designed by Mary Annarella.
