EMU Class 310, 310059 came to grief at Macclesfield station in 1971 after the catch points were incorrectly set.. the bogie in the foreground is from the front of the unit.

K výročí 130. let Klubu Českých turistů. Byl vypraven z Nového Boru do Krásné Lípy parní vlak vedený Turnovskou Babičkou. Souprava přijela do Nového Boru o den dříve. Kde byli vyzdobena a vyleštěna. 8.5.2018 pak vyrazila do na velký výjezd do Lužických hor.

This isn't quite what I had in mind, but still.
I hate feeling powerless. I hate feeling like something special and important to me is threatened and being unable to do anything about it. Distance, time differences, emotions, misunderstandings, history. All these things are conspiring to make me feel very vulnerable and at risk of losing something precious, and to a large extent I feel powerless to stop the force that threatens it.
I love to get home and look at the crow, the scarecrow and the baby crown up on the sign.
Call me silly but it makes me smile!

I baked this cake today for my grandma's 81st birthday! (And yes there really are 81 candles... I double checked!)
It was a lemon/white cake with blackberry filling and cream cheese frosting... Yum!

Avui, al saber que el tren herbicida de Sintra que pujava cap a Ripoll feria nit en aquesta estació, he agafat a la família i hem anat a dinar a Ripoll i de pas a fer-li fotos al tren amb doble de 310. Però el dia no ha estat com esperàvem, a la capital del Ripollès no ha parat de ploure en tot el dia i en ocasions ho feia amb molta força. He anat amb el xubasquero de la càmera i el meu i li he fet sis o set fotos, només aquestes tres son una mica passables. Al menys tinc una foto del Sintra nª 4.
Hoy, al saber que el tren herbicida de Sintra que subía hacia Ripoll haría noche en esta estación, he cogido a la familia y hemos ido a comer a Ripoll y de paso a hacerle fotos al tren con doble de 310. Pero el día no ha sido como esperábamos, en la capital del Ripollès no ha parado de llover en todo el día y en ocasiones lo hacía con mucha fuerza. He ido con el chubasquero de la cámara y el mío y le he hecho seis o siete fotos, sólo estas tres son un poco pasables. Al menos tengo una foto del Sintra n º 4.
