Still missing a couple of the 07 plate Tempos that were transferred from the Black Cat a while ago, being dropped off in Bingham gave me the perfect opportunity to see if any were out. I didn't exactly have long to wait, the first one to turn up was required!!

A quick turnaround trip to San Francisco today for meetings. Our first meeting was on the 33rd floor of of a building in the financial district, and we were rewarded with a glass wall framing this spectacular view. There are a lot of beautiful cities and towns around the globe and I’ve been fortunate enough to visit many of them However, once you enter the realm of large cities, none compare to the beauty of San Francisco. In other great cities people say, “I’m heading into Manhattan” or “I’m going to downtown LA”, but Bay Area residents would simply say “I’m going to the city.” The Warriors jerseys even call out “The City”. In my book that’s the urban equivalent to achieving single name status as a human (e.g. Sting, Cher, Prince, etc.). Am I biased given my upbringing in Marin? To put it simply… yes.

it's just it's been an emotional ride and half the time i was just too lazy to upload shots. I haven't given up on the 365 yet, but i am going to play a bit of a catch up right now, so mass uploading BEGINS aha :P

This isn't quite what I had in mind, but still.
I hate feeling powerless. I hate feeling like something special and important to me is threatened and being unable to do anything about it. Distance, time differences, emotions, misunderstandings, history. All these things are conspiring to make me feel very vulnerable and at risk of losing something precious, and to a large extent I feel powerless to stop the force that threatens it.
I love to get home and look at the crow, the scarecrow and the baby crown up on the sign.
Call me silly but it makes me smile!

I baked this cake today for my grandma's 81st birthday! (And yes there really are 81 candles... I double checked!)

Zaragoza es una de las pocas ciudades europeas que ha abierto su casco histórico al arte urbano. Este tipo de arte no sólo ha cambiado en cuanto a estilos y técnicas, sino también en su aceptación social y es que cada vez son más los que se acercan a la ciudad para contemplar estas obras tanto de artistas locales como internacionales. Buena culpa de ello la tiene el Festival Asalto que desde el año 2005 nos trae a la ciudad ilustradores de todo el mundo que en tiempo récord consiguen transformar lugares abandonados en grandes obras de arte.
El Asalto es el Festival Internacional de Arte Urbano que desde el año 2005 inunda durante varios meses las calles del Casco Antiguo de Zaragoza con propuestas artísticas vanguardistas, participativas e impactantes desarrolladas in situ por artistas urbanos y colectivos artísticos del panorama nacional e internacional. Se trata, por tanto, de una fórmula de interacción global con la ciudad, tanto a nivel urbanístico como social, que año tras año seduce tanto a los artistas y colectivos como a ciudadanos y turistas. Como concepto se trata de una experiencia artística y de creación única, ya que todo el proceso creativo y la ejecución del mismo se realizan en la ciudad de Zaragoza, siendo sus calles el mejor taller de trabajo, el mejor lienzo y la mejor galería. Con el paso de los años, el festival Asalto ha adquirido un notorio peso específico en la programación cultural de Zaragoza erigiéndose en una de las pocas propuestas que prevalece en el tiempo y que cada año se adapta y reinventa. Y es que el Asalto ha pasado de ser una muestra de arte urbano a un festival que propone explorar, descubrir o redescubrir el entornor urbano a partir de actividades artísticas, acciones y experiencias urbanas diferentes y que transformen nuestra ciudad en una Zaragoza vanguardista, participativa, colorista, amable y culturalmente abierta y activa.
En el entorno de la Plaza de San Felipe y la Calle Fuenclara se puede disfrutar de las pinturas a lo Roy Lichtenstein, del colectivo ruso 310 Squad.
310 Squad es un equipo de artistas urbanos de Moscú con muchas infuencias del mundo del comic y del pop art, que pasaron por Zaragoza gracias al Festival Asalto del año 2010.
