January 22, 2016: Testing the latest Hipstamatic app on my iPhone. Checking for updates to have some EXIF data uploaded to Flickr again. Still lacking the ability to load coordinates to Flickr.
The subject is just some dried hydrangeas in my back yard using the setting of Bettie XL Lens and Ina's 1935 Film. I haven't used some combinations in a while and want to use them again.

I'm not sure this makes me giggle, but every time I take notice of it, I do shake my head a bit. What would inspire someone to make two voluptuous female praying mantises the symbol of our town? The lilies above them I understand -- the direct translation of our stop on the Odakyu line is New Lily Hill. But the mantises? I've got no idea.
Direct Rail Services Class 57 diesel locomotive 57 310 'Pride of Cumbria' is pictured hauling a Northern Belle excursion train entering Carnforth station off the Leeds line.
VTEC class 43 310 sets down at Doncaster on it's journey to London Oct 12th 2015. This is my first encounter with the VTEC branding and it's not really for me. Coke cans and Kit Kat spring to mind in a stereotypical corporate kind of way. Definitely not in a Railway kind of way. I think the new GWR branding is a little better as there is at least a historical railway connection.

A little self tonight, as requested by M'Edges By: Tonya Blowe. I even had to shave uh !!!…hahahaha. So I did this shot which is similar to what M'Edges By: Tonya Blowe did with some minor changes. This is SOC and in the set-up shot I included a little bit more detail on the camera settings etc. hopefully it helps

I did my first solo light painting talk tonight at Stockport Photographic society. Everyone seemed to enjoy it and I'm looking forward to doing a practical in a couple of weeks.
One shot kill tonight as I'm tired, with the same set up as last night but with an added sweep across frame with the rainbow card.
