things are a little tricky right now. feeling caught. fenced in by choices and circumstances. always too busy & never quite able to catch up. best of intentions though. sometime soon i'll be able to participate and contribute to this community in the way i'd like to.
(i'm not going to apologize for not commenting. i'm viewing as i can, but my time is really short. I will, however, say that I regret not having the time & space to be a bit more active. in the grand scheme of things, though... well, i've got bigger issues to work through.)

A couple of my giant pumpkin plants completely withered and died. It has been a very dry and hot Summer. I watered each day, but apparently it was not enough. We picked two pumpkins and this was the biggest one at 310 pounds. I have a couple more plants in a different part of the garden that are still doing well and hope to have something much bigger to pick at the end of September.
Amtrak's Chicago-bound (train #4) departs Galesburg with the first section of the Super Chief. Power for the eastbound-run was typically four F-units; the westbound run (train #3) typically drew six F-units. The second section which followed by only minutes was also worth waiting to photograph. See link:

A quite late CN 310 approaches Turcot West on the north track of CN's Montreal Sub with traffic for Southwark Yard and Joffre Yard. Power is CN 8824 & CN 5788.
