Estos lindos tractores de mercancías siempre son agradecidos y más aún cuando los ves limpios sin ataques enemigos....

"with the wind she flies
bleeding into the skies
such an adventure she must embark
all ignited by a single spark
it spread into a fire
raging and alive
she thought
'i might as well live
before i die.'"
The best kind of rain, of course, is a cozy rain. This is the kind the anonymous medieval poet makes me remember, the rain that falls on a day when you'd just as soon stay in bed a little longer, write letters or read a good book by the fire, take early tea with hot scones and jam and look out the streaked window with complacency.

NS train 310 in nice morning light at Silver Springs, NY on February 15, 2020. The bridge in the background carried the BR&P 4th Sub over the Erie. The R&S abandoned the trackage South of Silver Springs in the 1990's, so the bridge is no longer used. The R&S tracks come into Silver Springs just out of sight to the right of the photo.
El Salobral a las 8:52. De tractores va el asunto. Por un lado la 310.036 de Adif y por otro ese grupo de tractores de la extinta Spanair.
Today's new friend!
I met this one (and several others) on the road back to Drumnadrochit from Beauly! They were very friendly and wanting some scratches!
Shot with Sony's NEX-5R for their "Unedited 310" project - showcasing my raw, undedited view of the wonderful city of Los Angeles.

I decided to try this out as a different take on a light trails shot. I set my tripod up in the rear footwell, then tied it to the seat and rear armrest to keep it fixed to the movement of the car. I then used a delayed timer with my wireless shutter release (i.e. hands free!).
It was a bit of a gamble as I didn’t check the shots until I’d finished driving (obviously). I’m pretty happy with the results though.
Now to try it in some different locations!
I have knit the ribbing, short rows and the slipped stitch pattern as far as the bottom of the armholes on this pullover. This morning I lightly steamed both the front (at bottom) and back and this afternoon I joined the two pieces in the round. Only about 12 inches to go on the body (and then the sleeves, of course). The pattern is Tiny Dancer, designed by Mary Annarella.

A couple of my giant pumpkin plants completely withered and died. It has been a very dry and hot Summer. I watered each day, but apparently it was not enough. We picked two pumpkins and this was the biggest one at 310 pounds. I have a couple more plants in a different part of the garden that are still doing well and hope to have something much bigger to pick at the end of September.
