I met this one (and several others) on the road back to Drumnadrochit from Beauly! They were very friendly and wanting some scratches!
Für die 150-Jahr-Feier arbeitete die ÖBB 1985 - 1987 die Gölsdorf-Maschine 310.23 wieder auf. Hier sehen wir die elegante 4 Zylinder-Heißdampf-Verbundlok mit einem Sonderzug. Leider ist mir der Aufnahmeort entfallen (Scan vom Dia).

friday. i treated myself to a photo session of my very own today. an hour with my son spent running around on grassy hills, he agreed to a photo session today in exchange for a shared milkshake. i think i got the better deal that resulted in some gorgeous photos and a heart full of love.

NS 310 with the "CR" Heritage unit leading passes thru Lancaster with a train for Corning and Binghamton.
800 310 passes Cockwood Harbour in perfect conditions on the evening of 14th June 2022. The Summer Solstice provided some perfectly timed high tides as illustrated here.

Una de les branques del CargoMetro de la Seat, ha passat el mes d'agost a les vies de l'estació de Constantí. Gràcies al avís d'en Carlos, em vaig acostar a l'estació de Reus, on faria inversió per entrar a Constantí.
Arribant a l'estació de Salou per anar cap a Tarragona, i després cap a Reus, veig com passa el R16 de les 10:30, i poc després, al arribar a l'estació, comença la meva preocupació al veure que el següent tren cap a Tarragona no passava fins a les 12, molt just per arribar a Tarragona abans que el TMD, i evidentment, per caçar-lo a Reus. Sense saber res del tren en qüestió, començo el viatge fins a Reus, i un cop allà em dirigeixo a circulació, a veure si en sabien res del CargoMetro. Segons l'horari, havia d'arribar en 20 min. Com que no em donava temps a anar fins al lloc que volia, vaig haver de quedar-me a prop de l'estació. esperant, esperant, i el TMD que no treu el cap. Des de les 13:10 que havia d'arribar fins ben passades les 15h, el tren de la Seat no va donar senyals de vida, i quan ho va fer, ho va fer arrribant a contravia (en aquell moment encara era BAD), segons un treballador d'Adif

Today we canned "Dilly Beans". They are basically just like dill pickles, only with green beans instead of cucumbers. Our garden is going crazy at the moment - we have beans coming out the ears!

NS 310 crosses over a broken rail at CP Marilla on its way east towards Binghamton with the Erie heritage unit leading.
On a perfect end of summer day Pan Am local NA-1 heading light down the lead into the then Public Service of New Hampshire's Merrimack Generating station. This lead diverges from the Concord Industrial Track at MP N40. The industrial is the continuation of the Northern Mainline which officially ends about two miles south at MP N38. MEC 310 (EMD GP40 blt. Oct. 1968 as PC 3194) went to retrieve a lone empty tank car placarded with a UN1005. This is anhydrous ammonia is used in the coal burning process to remove nitrogen oxides that are produced during combustion. NOX is one the main ingredients involved in the formation of ground-level ozone....and now you know why there is a tank car in a coal plant!
The first rails through here were laid by the Concord Railroad in 1842. And while the Northern is little more than a glorified branch line these days, for 130 years it was part of an important thru route between Boston and Canada by way of the Concord & Montreal to Wells River and the Northern to White River Junction, both in Vermont. All these routes eventually came to be part of the mighty Boston and Maine system and then were slowly abandoned as that once great road disintegrated in the post war era. The last thru train operated by the B&M ran around 1982 and successor Guilford ultimately removed the Northern (the BC&M from Plymouth having been abandoned 30 years before the Guilford era) but has continued to run this local to handle the remaining carload business and occasional unit coal trains to this power plant.

This is a roller coaster called Millenium Force at Cedar Point Ohio...the best Amusement park in the world, and my favorite place. This is a completely unaltered photo. The light show on this first 310 foot hill of the ride is spectacular.
Gracias a un oportuno aviso de un compañero del instituto pude ver la 310.002 con su librea UN estacionada en Parets con un travesero procedente de Montcada-Bifurcación.Dicho tren esperaba la noche para continuar con el reparto de traviesas para renovar las existentes en la línea.
