CSS&SB Pullman built 21 inbound at the Randolph Street Station in Chicago, Illinois on May 13, 1983, Ektachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built as a 61 foot coach with a Pullman style smoking compartment by Pullman Car and Manufacturing Company in 1927, it was rebuilt in 1946 by adding a 17 foot section in the middle.

I'm finally 21 years old!

This one's kind of forced, because I wanted it done immediately.

I visited Oregon this past week for a family wedding and family vacation. It was absolutely gorgeous there when the weather was clear. I would have uploaded a picture of the amazing coastline we stayed on, but this is much better in the composition area. There were more flowers and green things than I've ever seen, and the air smelled so clean and fresh. If only I could tolerate constant gray skies and miserable winters I might move there some day!

I won't be uploading the next 2 or 3 weeks.

I'll be at camp and then I finally get to be with my love.

Finally. <3

Day 21

H.F.S. Morgan's first car design was a single-seat three-wheeled runabout which was fabricated for his personal use in 1909. Interest in his runabout led him to patent his design and begin production. While he initially showed single-cylinder and twin-cylinder versions of his runabout at the 1911 Olympia Motor Exhibition, he was convinced at the exhibition that there would be greater demand for a two-seat model.

Morgan built his cars' reputation by entering them in competitions. One of his racing cars won the 1913 Cyclecar Grand Prix at Amiens in France. This became the basis for the Grand Prix model of 1913 to 1926, from which evolved the Aero, Super Sports, and Sports models.[2]

These models used air-cooled or liquid-cooled variations of motorcycle engines.[3] The engine was placed ahead of the axis of the front wheels in a chassis made of steel tubes brazed into cast lugs.[4]

The V-Twin models were not returned to production after World War II.

"Quante vite viviamo... quante volte si muore? Si dice che nel preciso istante della morte tutti perdiamo 21 grammi di peso, nessuno escluso. Ma quanto c'è in 21 grammi? Quanto va perduto? Quando li perdiamo quei 21 grammi? Quanto se ne va con loro? Quanto si guadagna? Quanto si guadagna? 21 grammi... il peso di 5 nichelini uno sull'altro... il peso di un colibrì, di una barretta di cioccolato... Quanto valgono 21 grammi?"

The 1946 Argus 21 Markfinder was a forward leap for Argus, but it basically combined the shutter of the C3 in the metal body of the A3. It wasn't as easy as that, though, the limited space required a totally new shutter design, resembling the C3 only in its behind-lens placement. The f/3.5 lens was removable for use on an enlarger, but no other lenses were offered and the lens thread was not compatible with that of the C3. The "Markfinder" feature was the world's first projected-frame viewfinder, based on a trick Argus had learned during the war; but they could not figure out a way to combine this new feature with a rangefinder, so the 21 is a scale-focusing viewfinder camera. When market realities led to the camera's evolution to the rangefinder C4, the projected-frame feature was dropped.

Captured during the "On Fire" weekend of May 25-26. Sunday June 9th there are elections for the Parliaments.

Together with Sarah we took several pics of this event @ Leuven.

After the speeches the president of the PVDA took a group selfie with other candidates and the crowd.

Not my best technical photo (because of the difference in light on stage and beyond), but it surely represents the atmosphere of the day.

and well might he look guilty - that's our dogs tail fur in his mouth!

this cute baby comes to play at our house everyday, with the builders. he loves to get our dog to play but can be a little over enthusiastic.

trying to get a pic of him is challenging as he does not stay still
