This is Thomas (left) and Toby (right).
My first double portrait. Exciting.
Thomas and Toby were watching the Halfords Tour Series in Oxford. I sat next to them watching the riders go round and round and round and round while the commentator failed to whip the crowd up into a frenzy.
Thomas and Toby are students at Oxford. They're clever. They study law. I went to a shit comprehensive school and am not very bright. My insecurities were quick to surface and the meeting was brief. How easily I crumble when faced with intellectually superior people.
Looking at the shiny bicycles was good, but I had no idea who was winning or who was being lapped. I said that I found the whole thing a little dull, but Toby disagreed and said that he found it interesting because 'he's into cycling'. I smiled a little smile.
