I kept hoping birds would show up at the feeders today while it was snowing, but the squirrel's didn't seem okay with sharing and hogged all the food so I had to resort to plan B, a simple Sunday still life will have to do.

Sneeuwpret in de kempen!
Op 8 februari 2021 passeert de 803 in Lille in de richting van Turnhout.
Door de sneeuwval en vrieskoude waren er een hele hoop problemen op het spoor waardoor het verassend moeilijk was om een trein voor de lens te krijgen. En net op het moment dat de bareel dan eindelijk dichtging kwam er ook nog eens een tractor met sneeuwschep aangereden. Zo was het winterbeeld helemaal passend!

I've recently decided to start learning how to crochet; I spent my first couple weeks just wasting yarn and creating 'messes' but after all that practice (on a basic single crochet) I've been working on this little blanket for Fyero. It's not perfect but I'm happy with my work so far.
I'm about half way done with this project and then I think it'll be time to learn the double crochet stitch.
To any experienced yarn friends that see this; do you ball your yarn or just leave it as it comes? I've been leaving my skeins as I buy them but the internet is telling me I'm a fool, what's your take?

365/2021 - Expanding Horizons ~ 320/365
After a grey day full of cloud and drizzle there were just a few minutes of this lovely sunset and it was gone! For once I was in the right place at the right time to capture it.

Final lookback for the railway series sees BR Class 5MT 73156 setting out from Loughborough with the Santa Special stock on its way to Quorn to pick up the families.
The effort needed to start the load of eight coaches, and an English Electric Type 3 behind the tender produced a memorable sound with some well controlled slips on the damp rail
The feeders have been pretty close to empty for a couple days so I was surprised when this guy showed up this morning. I think he was able to snag a few seeds before heading off in search of a fuller feeder for the day.

The frost on the car windows this morning made me think of pretty little etched flowers. I thought it was pretty and I'm never one to pass up a pretty frost photo when presented with an opportunity.

Ambiance orageuse depuis les pentes de la Montagne de Lachens dans le Var.
C'est d'autant plus marquant à titre personnel du fait que quelques heures avant de faire cette photo (superpo de 2 images par ailleurs) , j'étais encore en train de camper à plus de 2850 m d'alt tout en étant entouré de neige et de paysages très escarpés dans les Alpes de haute Provence !!
