Photographed at the Lake Jordan Dam, Moncure, North Carolina, USA. This heron was squawking at the photographers on the banks of the Haw River as it flew by us.
Tomorrow it will be removed and the decorations packed away for another 11 months. If Covid 2022...sorry, if Christmas 2022 is allowed! In the meantime we must continue preparing the B&B for business in the Spring.
I kept hoping birds would show up at the feeders today while it was snowing, but the squirrel's didn't seem okay with sharing and hogged all the food so I had to resort to plan B, a simple Sunday still life will have to do.

Sneeuwpret in de kempen!
Op 8 februari 2021 passeert de 803 in Lille in de richting van Turnhout.
Door de sneeuwval en vrieskoude waren er een hele hoop problemen op het spoor waardoor het verassend moeilijk was om een trein voor de lens te krijgen. En net op het moment dat de bareel dan eindelijk dichtging kwam er ook nog eens een tractor met sneeuwschep aangereden. Zo was het winterbeeld helemaal passend!

The frost on the car windows this morning made me think of pretty little etched flowers. I thought it was pretty and I'm never one to pass up a pretty frost photo when presented with an opportunity.

Ambiance orageuse depuis les pentes de la Montagne de Lachens dans le Var.
C'est d'autant plus marquant à titre personnel du fait que quelques heures avant de faire cette photo (superpo de 2 images par ailleurs) , j'étais encore en train de camper à plus de 2850 m d'alt tout en étant entouré de neige et de paysages très escarpés dans les Alpes de haute Provence !!
The backyard visitors spotted our car driving back into the hood this morning after Scott and I ran an errand, of course, Scott couldn't resist grabbing the food and I couldn't resist grabbing the camera.

The feeders have been pretty close to empty for a couple days so I was surprised when this guy showed up this morning. I think he was able to snag a few seeds before heading off in search of a fuller feeder for the day.

Quitter le taf à 15 h 30 et partir de Toulon (83) pour se rendre vers Vichy (03) 6 h plus tard était un des paris les plus risqués que nous avions pu prendre puisque la situation orageuse devait démarrer dans la soirée , en finalité il s'avérera être payant avec une des ambiances photographique comme ce coucher de soleil qui composera parfaitement avec ce cumulonimbus aux allures de Supercellule LP ( Low Precipitiation ),et ce depuis l'A89 qui nous mène vers Clermont-Ferrand (63) .
Je vous réserve une suite bien électrique ;)

I dragged Ian out for a gentle stretch of the legs on a New Year's Day walk through Tring Park. I didn't realise how foggy and frosty it was going to be, but it was magical (if a bit cold!). This is not snow on the ground - it's feathery needles of frost which had fallen off the trees
