Ghosts of Feature Film: A Cinematography Project
This project is an experimental collaboration where shots were composed from a cinema standpoint, incorporating actors actually acting out scenes, in-character, instead of modeling or just being photographed. With Joseph Petito acting on-camera as the main star, I lensed different scenes from 7 films. Each sequence is part of that specific film's larger story, each film having it's own style and distinct types of shots & angles. We designed this project to create a cohesive cinematic illusion that these are real movie screenshots, but for movies that don't actually exist... hence Ghosts of Feature Film.

The Shard, also referred to as the Shard of Glass, Shard London Bridge and formerly London Bridge Tower, is a 95-storey skyscraper in Southwark, London, that forms part of the London Bridge Quarter development. Standing 309.7 metres (1,016 ft) high, the Shard is the tallest building in the United Kingdom, the fourth-tallest building in Europe and the 111th-tallest building in the world. It is also the second-tallest free-standing structure in the United Kingdom, after the concrete tower at the Emley Moor transmitting station.
The Shard's construction began in March 2009; it was topped out on 30 March 2012 and inaugurated on 6 July 2012. Practical completion was achieved in November 2012. The tower's privately operated observation deck, The View from The Shard, was opened to the public on 1 February 2013. The glass-clad pyramidal tower has 72 habitable floors, with a viewing gallery and open-air observation deck on the 72nd floor, at a height of 244.3 metres (802 ft). It was designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano and replaced Southwark Towers, a 24-storey office block built on the site in 1975. The Shard was developed by Sellar Property Group on behalf of LBQ Ltd and is jointly owned by Sellar Property and the State of Qatar.

This blackbird was visiting for a drink and was suddenly surprised by a thirsty bee. I am now leaving a puddle of water when I fill the birdbath regularly for insects as a few have drowned trying take a drink. That was a couple of days ago, first we had rain, then sleet and now we have snow.

Tokyo Skytree Tōkyō Sukaitsurī is a broadcasting, restaurant, and observation tower in Sumida, Tokyo, Japan. It became the tallest structure in Japan in 2010 and reached its full height of 634.0 metres in March 2011, making it the tallest tower in the world, displacing the Canton Tower, and the second tallest structure in the world after Burj Khalifa.
The tower is the primary television and radio broadcast site for the Kantō region; the older Tokyo Tower no longer gives complete digital terrestrial television broadcasting coverage because it is surrounded by high-rise buildings. Skytree was completed on 29 February 2012, with the tower opening to the public on 22 May 2012.
The tower is the centrepiece of a large commercial development funded by Tobu Railway and a group of six terrestrial broadcasters headed by NHK. Trains stop at the adjacent Tokyo Skytree Station and nearby Oshiage Station, and the complex is only 7 km north-east of Tokyo Station.

There were no epic clouds the morning I got to shoot the Needles and Haystack for sunrise. There was a very nice pink glow that did light up the sky before the sun rose which made it worth the effort of getting out of bed early!
Not too sure what I think about this image. I thought about cropping it down to a pano style. Something just doesn't seem right to me. I thought I would post it up anyways...Let me know what you think.

This sporty, elegant car had me mystified. While preparing this picture for upload to flickr, I couldn’t determine if this was a 1931 or ‘32’ Packard Roadster. Note that the license plate indicates this to be a 1932 model year, however, the placard displayed at the Grand Classics event stated this was a 1931 Packard Roadster. Obviously I am not a true classic car aficionado so I consulted a friend who is one, Steve Brown. As expected, Steve got me squared away on the facts behind this fine car. He, as well provided me with a link to my favorite source, conceptcarz. Additionally, Steve gave me the link to his fabulous picture of this car - flic.kr/p/vLoEYL
Mystery solved!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Packard 840 and 845 are considered some of the finest models of the early 1930s. Their longer wheelbase allowed custom coachbuilders to create striking designs, and for 1931 Packard model the cowl forward to make room for even more spacious and luxurious interiors.
Under the hood, the 840 has a 384 cubic-inch side-valve straight-eight producing 120 horsepower, a single two-barrel Stromberg carburetor, four-speed manual transmission, and four-wheel mechanical drum brakes.
This 840 Roadster sports a Rollston body #430, style #7402 which was designed by Rudy Creteur, Chief Designer at Rollston on September 4, 1930. It is the only known Packard Roadster with a V windshield, and it has several other Rollston design cues including the triangle cowl vent, louvers on cowl sides, a belt line 3 inches lower than the usual, scroll door handles, and hidden hinges. Among its Packard options, it sports the 1932 upgrade kit, which includes a V radiator, dual trumpet horns, the V headlight bar, dual taillights, and super 8 bumpers.
It was built for the Salon Auto Show at the Commodore Hotel in New York in 1930, but was not finished in time.
Packard 840-47 was used as a push vehicle at an auto repair shop during World War II, and later abandoned in a field. In 1952 it was bought by a high school senior who kept it for eight years. It spent time in his dad's field before being found and bought in 1960. The rescued car was stored for 52 years.
The current owner acquired it in July of 2012 and treated it to a two-and-a-half year restoration. The paint colors - 'twilight blue', 'Elmeda Grey' with 'grey mouse' wheels and pin stripping with Timerline Grey leather interior. The colors are original, as found on the build sheet.
