These two photographs show a Ferris Wheel at the Palm Harbor Carnival. Arnolds Amusements, Inc., is the Traveling Carnival, which set up the Midway. The Carnival was set up near Florida Avenue and Alternate Route 19 (aka: Bayshore Blvd.) in Downtown Palm Harbor, FL. Notice that the Ferris wheel is visible from Alternate 19 (aka: Bayshore Blvd.), in fact you can see the Alternate Route 19 Sign in my Photograph Second Photo aka: (2 of 2).
I have no Idea, what that Diagonal White Line is from ? apparently, I didn't notice when I took this Photograph.
I had gone to Downtown Palm Harbor that Morning to get a Haircut and was surprised to see the Carnival had been set up on several streets on several city blocks in Palm Harbor.
I normally park on the Florida Avenue very close to the Barber Shop (between 12th & 11th Streets), however I had to park two blocks away because the carnival completely occupied the street in front of the Barber Shop & for several blocks around it.
Luckily, I had my Camera with me (so after my Haircut), I strolled around the area taking Photographs of the Carnival Attractions, which were still being Set-Up !
Ok.. I just thought I'd add this one still while the month is July. I know I am late for adding firework pictures, but I thought this was better than the other 2 I had already posted..what do you guys think ?

This was a space 1999 inspired MOC. It would be bigger than the original from the show. I imagined a 4 crew cockpit rather than 2. I spent more time on it then I thought it was worth. Some sections I like, although it never really coalesced into something I was particularly happy with as a whole. The are no formal pics, but here it is none the less.

A small Cub looking at its mom that's in an adjacent tree. Yes there's some grain in these images, not to mention some weird looking bokeh, but I had to use ISO 3200 in low light conditions on this particular morning.

Night-time at the Rolex 24
After a rain shower rolled through, there was a lot of mist and spray being thrown up by the cars... who all apparently stayed on slicks.
As I looked down the track, coming off of turn 2, I noticed the atmospherics were pretty cool with the lights hitting them so I moved down a little closer to the international horseshoe for a better angle.

As described further in my September 22, 2020 Update on my flickr profile page, I have launched another retrospective series, this one featuring my earliest CD pics dating from 1989-2003. There are various reasons described there for rolling out this series, and know that this is not just a re-posting of old pics. This is a new more-authentic look at some classic pics of mine.
This pic is from September 2002. I took several days off from work to have a "CD stay-cation" and spend 6 days getting made up and be out en femme in public.
On this Day #2, I got a makeover at a home beauty salon in San Jose, while wearing the french-tip acrylic long nails I had put on the day before at a local nail salon. I remember another woman coming into the home salon as I was nearly done and she was really struck by how completely feminine and beautiful I looked. She noticed my bare arms here, which I had shaved for this week, and complimented me on how they appeared rather thin and femme, especially compared with other men/CDs she had seen dressed up. I recall feeling very flattered and happy with her compliments, as this was *exactly* the impression I was hoping to give to people that I would come across while en femme. (After all, I'd worked very hard to avoid any arm-muscle activity, shave my thin arms & hands, wear oversized bracelets, and get those long nails put on -- all to have these arms look sufficiently womanly.)
The outfit here is a navy blue zip-front & slit-front mini-dress with a belted waist, found as a "steal" at a Ross Dress for Less in LA. It was my favorite dress at the time, and reminded me a little bit of a stewardess outfit. To complement this sexy minidress, I sported a pair of navy blue high-heel pumps, along with navy blue ultra-sheer pantyhose.
I think this day involved a really great, complete makeover, and I felt again like a beautiful young woman. It was maybe even my best makeover to that point. What would you think if you saw me?

Okay guys, the figs are pretty much done. I've also build the Lunar Lander platform, but it's too small, so I'll have to build it twice as big.
Still, here are a few questions:
1) Should I make more zombies? (if yes, why?)
2) I'm getting a red raygun from ZeroVelicity, but I still need one. Does anybody want to trade one?
3) What do you guys think of the lander? Could it be improved? (if yes, how?)

I'm going to post my 16 facts on here since I deleted the other photo they were on.
I got tagged a while ago by Kcel. So here it goes my 16 facts
1) I can read French and find myself thinking in it (yet in French class I have no idea what the teacher is saying)
2) I have loved Europe since I was in second grade especially France and UK (I don't even think I knew it was called Europe then)
3) I love shopping especially at urban outfitters, ikea, and target (like you couldn't guess this one)
4) I haven't always loved photography, yet for some reason I used to get at least one camera every Christmas (my first camera was a pink and green barbie Polaroid which still works)
5) I have an obsession with cell phones, I'm on my 5th (I just recently traded my voyager for the google g1)
6) In my room I hide candy everywhere, and never eat it (I still have Halloween candy :x)
7) It's snowing here right now (of course it has to snow on the weekend)
8) I have wanted to be a singer, actress, fashion designer, game designer, graphic designer, interior designer, photographer in that order. (at least I've stuck with the art theme)
9) I don't listen to the same music my friends do, I tend to like European artist (my current favorites are Ting Tings, Peter Bjorn and John, Santogold, and Goldfrapp)
10) Speaking of Goldfrapp this is my favorite music video ever (I must of watched it over 100 times by now)
11) I love the west coast of America especially California (although I've only been twice)
12) I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't do drugs and I never plan to. (I think it's really sad when 12 year olds are doing it)
13) My favorite food ever is Strawberries (I have a weird taste for the white unripped ones)
14) I could play the sims for hours, my friends all think I'm crazy for doing that (what can I say controlling people's lives is fun! ahaha)
15) I hate the suspicion in scary movies and when I'm watching then I'm usually in beetle position (I just saw the unborn last night I was using a napkin to block out the screen...and I was holding my friends arm)
16) I just spent 30 minutes doing this (now it's time to tag people...suckas)

until I realized it is love?
I wonder whether a nobody like me could have given something to her who was struggling in the
daily life in those days. Giving something is arrogant conceit. It is nothing but self-satisfaction.
I had been thinking about such a thing.
However, I guess what she saw in me was because I had nothing. That‘s why she tried to see

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

Well what did you think I was going to choose?
On the Golden personality spectrum, Henry is what people who don't know much about Golden Retrievers think Goldens are like. Calm, sweet, and wanting nothing more than to be loved. If you could wave a magic wand and bring a stuffed animal to life, you'd get Henry.
It's not that isn't smart, he's just figured out that looking adorable is often enough to get him what he wants. As someone once commented, upon reading my description, "He gets by on his good looks and affable personality."
Toby is probably closer to what a sporting dog should be - focused, tireless, eager to please, a quick learner (and enthusiastic about it!) and an obsessive retriever.
And when the day is done, and the last ball has been returned, he hops up on the sofa, snuggles up tight against you, and peacefully drifts off to sleep.

i actually dont like this picture, but I had to use a recent picture of me.
hmmm.. 10 things about me...
I don't find these interesting but maybe you will.
1) today's my 17th birthday!
2) i'm pretty lucky to have the family and friends that I have... they're pretty great. I have one older brother and he's a lot of fun and artisitc and I love him!
3) i can be pretty shy and sometimes avoid eye contact, but i'm working on it. sometimes i think people think i'm mean or don't care about them if they don't know me very well.
4) I want to travel sooo bad. I know a lot of people say that, but I just really would like to see the world. I'd go almost anywhere if i could. but don't get me wrong, i also enjoy where i live.
5) I've got a real relationship with a real God, not just a religion.
6) I think my biggest enemy is myself, but I need to get through that and get my focus back on others.
7) sometimes i doubt whether im good at what I do so every comment and favorite and message really means a lot to me even if i forget to respond or something. Im really counting on the fact that I'll improve too.
8) I'm a junior and have no idea what I'll be doing the rest of my life and would really like to know or at least have some sort of idea.
9) I really enjoy the outdoors, and I love the change in seasons.
10) At random times some thoughts will just hit me. I'll be walking somewhere and just think, what am I doing in life? or why do people do this? and just question things that are thought of as normal. haha maybe i'm just weird.

Main story

I had a very sweet girlfriend when I was 18.
After she left, I knew the meaning of gentleness for the first time and also a true pain of loss. After
she left, how many times did I depend too much on her, doubt her, envy her and keep on telling lies
until I realized it is love?
I wonder whether a nobody like me could have given something to her who was struggling in the
daily life in those days. Giving something is arrogant conceit. It is nothing but self-satisfaction.
I had been thinking about such a thing.
However, I guess what she saw in me was because I had nothing. That‘s why she tried to see
something in me. Perhaps she found a slight possibility in me, a guy filled with ambiguous, unstable
tomorrow. But I wasted days depending too much on her gentleness.

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

This is day five of my series, and is my Number #1 favourite sniper rifle.
This was actually the first mod I made, which caused me to start this epic 5 day series. I really wanted to try and put playability into it, and that is where the Working Bolt Action (WBA, for short ;) ) came in.
I have to say, I never really knew too much about this gun after playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2. I realise this gun is not in game at all, but the similar SV-98 is. The SV-98 is my favourite gun in BFBC:2, and so when I thought about starting this series, I knew it had to be in there.
So, I came across the L96A1, but it remained pretty dormant in my head until I put Call of Duty: Black Ops back into my PS3. I jumped straight into Combat Training and started using the L96A1. It pwned. I seriously owned everyone. It was amazing.
I then started to get into airsoft, and after finding the Well L96A1/MB-01, I definitely had to order it.
Well, with it now sitting in front of me, I have to say, it is a beauty. It definitely deserves its Sniper Rifle throne.
Unfortunately, when I was trying out the bipod, some of the paint scratched off, so please excuse that ;)

I am an early bird and on Sunday morning I headed to Coffee Beans. While I enjoyed an ice-blended drink (Malibu Dream strawberry banana) in a sunny morning, I spotted these cups in a window shelf. They are not mine! I like the colors and design so much so I took a picture.
NOTE:
1. I used Christine's action Sprinkles and the TK Luminosity Mask action to selectively decreased the brightest area of the photo. See FREE tutorial about this here. You can also download it FREE from www.atncentral.com .
2. I duplicated the layer, set it to screen mode and decreased the opacity of the brightest area of the photo.
It's Monday again. Damn! ;-)

I've been tagged three million times. And today, I feel like talking.
1.I am honest. Too honest. Too blunt. But sometimes I don’t know how to stop.
2.I write, sing, do theatre, do photography, and dance a little, but I really wish that I was incredibly talented at one thing.
3.The person that I am closest to is my mother. She’s the person from whom I inherited my inability to lie gracefully.
4.Allie said that I have an athletic body. That meant so much to me, because I’m learning to be proud of my strength, and not to abhor muscular bulk.
5.I am in love with chocolate cake.
6.I have to read my Bible throughout the day, because I lose focus if I do my devotions in one fell swoop.
7.I have difficulties loving everyone. I fail at it a lot.
8.I have better friendships online than in real life, because in real life I have a tendency to hide away by myself for periods of time. Or I shut down and stop exposing myself. And I get hurt more easily than people realize, because I don't tell anyone.
9.I would really, really love to have a piece of writing published. But everything that I feel that I have written well is too intimate for me to wish to share it.
10.The landscape and film shots that I take mean a lot to me, and it kind of hurts when they don’t mean as much to other people. Maybe people expect one kind of picture from me, but the ones that get ignored seem to be the ones that make me feel whole. Although, this picture means a lot to me, too. I’ve been saving it.

I am just playing with words and borrowing for the title something from Shakespeare's Hamlet.
The actual line from the play and said by Polonius means “Reason behind apparent folly or disorder”.
There is no madness in this picture, this man was cleaning his body with soap in the Ganges.
I was sitting next to him at the ghats and I took a few pictures, some came in a funny way, with a touch of drama, and of course I could write anything about that expression, I could pretend that an unmentionalble injury effected the mental incapacity of his madness...
But this man was acting normal, he had soap in the eye and his body took this unusual gesture...

1. I am almost 20 years old, and I am still afraid of the dark.
2. I want to be married by time I am 22ish, and have kids by time i'm 24. Crazy I know. When you're ready, you're ready.
3. I was planning on becoming a Radiologist, but then when my dad broke his leg and we visited him in the hospital I realized health care was not my thing. The hospitals grossed me out. I am now working towards becoming an English Literature major. One day, I will work for a book publishing company.
4. After working for Starbucks for 2 years, I have become seriously addicted to coffee. I spend too much money on my Americanos, I just need to buy an espresso machine.
5. I have over 40 something cousins. (there may be more.... I have lost track!) Most of which, I don't even know their name. My dad comes from a very big family.
6. One day, I will write a book. You all will get personally signed copies ;)
7. I cannot watch scary movies. They give me nightmares for months. Any movie dealing with exorcism is off limits. I have a HUGE fear of that type of thing.
8. I wish I was older than I really am. I feel like I am 23 already. I know everyone tells me I am a fool to say such a thing, and I won't think the same later in life... but whatever. ha!
9. I plan on moving after I get my degree, I have already let my boyfriend know when we are both done with college... we're out of here. I would love to live in California, but it's just too expensive.
10. Up until about 3 years ago, I was terrified to get in the ocean. There are so many things in the water that could be swimming around my legs, It just grossed me out.

My trip to the blue ridge parkway was beautiful, but 2 things stopped me from getting the exact shots I wanted:
1. I left my tripod in the hotel room because I am dumb
2. I was visiting 3 weeks before peak colors
That said, I think this shot came out decent for handheld! This gorgeous waterfall is barely outside of Asheville NC.
1) Did you hear about the horse that got a job in a watch factory?
All he did was stand around making faces.
2) I had a near death experience that has changed me forever. The other day I went horseback riding. Everything was going fine until the horse started bouncing out of control. I tried with all my might to hang on, but was thrown off. Just when things could not possibly get worse, my foot gets caught in the stirrup. When this happened, I fell head first to the ground. My head continued to bounce harder as the horse did not stop or even slow down. Just as I was giving up hope and losing consciousness, the Walmart manager came and unplugged it. Thank Goodness for heroes!
3) A guy walks into a bar with his horse and offers $100 to anybody who can make the horse laugh. One guy whispers something in the horse's ear and the horse starts to laugh.
The following week, the guy is back in the bar with his horse again and offers $200 to anyone who can make the horse cry. The guy who won the last week takes the horse off to the bathroom. When they come back, the horse is crying his eyes out.
Amazed, the owner asks the man how he did it.
The man says, "Last week, I told the horse that I had a bigger pecker than him. This week, I showed it to him."
This one is in the parking lot at Campbell's Junction, a small commercial settlement a mile or so from our house. Polaroid I-2, I-Type Black & White film.
She tucked her bill back into her feathers but kept her eyes open, watching me.

Pentax K1000 was made from 1976 to 1997, and this camera by the serial numbers was made in 1977. This one has a SMC Pentax 50mm 1.2
I found this on Facebook marketplace where the son of the original owner was selling it for his father. His father had to have taken very good care of this camera because it's mint!
I cleaned the camera completely even though it didn't need it. I also bought the following for it, a Smallrig brand leather wrist strap and a 3d printed wood simulation hand grip, which also makes the camera a bit larger for my big hands. The hand grip also incorporates a tripod mount underneath. I also installed a larger shutter release button with a smooth top in black. Last I made a hot shoe cover out of oak, this was very small and I had to cut and sand it perfectly until it fit. But it adds a unique look, I thought?
I also bought a Canon A1 made by its serial numbers in July of 1978, which I will post a shot of it later. I just took 36 monochrome shots with the Canon A1 today, my first film shots in a very very long time. Some of them were in an antique farm machinery graveyard. I have to go back to this place, I want to get some digital shots just in case the 35mm films shots don't come out. But... I'm excited to see how they do come out and also to use the Pentax K1000 soon since I'm done upgrading it.
This shot was taken at my ammo reloading bench with an antique machinist toolbox in the background. The toolbox holds my reloading dies and tools.

I'll admit I never saw the movie but from what I've found on-line, this lady was scarily on point with this Rule 63 version of "Immortan Joe."
She was kind of fun to talk to (IIRC, she let me tap on her top piece - not in a pervy way, folks, but in a "whoa, that's so freakin' cool - how did you craft this?" way) yet 1) it was Dragon*Con and super busy/crowded, 2) I never got her name and can't remember if I gave her my card, and 3) at events like these I have all the attention span of a ferret on crack.
Modified the color profile (Colormatch RGB) and used Topaz Adjust's "Lomo I" filter to give the image some grime and character.
UPDATE: "Jane" was featured in Uproxx's It’s Going To Be A Logical Time In The Cosplay Of The Week (01.22.16). This cosplay seems to have struck a chord with a lot of folks. :-)

This farmyard's a bit over a mile from our house, and is visible (after a fashion) from our yard. The house is quite striking, especially in the late-afternoon sun. There are a couple other photographs I'd like to take of it, both of which would take some luck and a long lens. Since I don't routinely wander around with my long lens, they'd necessarily be planned photographs. Someday, perhaps.
This is one of a half-dozen similar photographs I took that morning. The framing changed a bit as I moved closer to the house, but they all have the same look and feel.
And please note that the photo's two rightmost barns are part of another farm, a few hundred yards down the road. Perspective can mislead.
