I've gone for a little 'rewind' here with this shot of new to Mainline B6LE Wright Crusader pictured in St Budeaux square working back from Saltash to Plymouth on what was back then the old 'Red Line' route 1 & 2.

I remembered when this one turned up from South Yorkshire, it still had the LEDs programmed to destinations from up North!

We had all of the N-BKY batch here at Plymouth at one point along with N144BWG & M918MRW, they supplemented the native B6BLEs W-PAF batch on the then colour branded routes around Plymouth.

Two years ago I built the Outrunner vehicle from Borderlands 2. I just finished the Pre-Sequel a little while ago and wanted to build some more!

Clap Trap comes from the Borderlands series of games. He is a main non-playable character in the first two as well as a playable class in the Pre-Sequel. If you want to play good first-person shooters with excellent storylines, I highly recommend Borderlands 2 and the Pre-Sequel. If you're also into pain, check out Borderlands 1.

And yes... he's got his own theme song!

Chorus: They all shout his name when he rolls into town! Hooray! Here comes Clap Trap; can't keep up your frown!

He wouldn't hurt your mom or dad! Won't hurt you or me! The mention of his very name fills us all with glee!

JAPAN AIR SELF-DEFENCE FORCE

IN ENGLISH BELOW THE LINE

====================================

The English manor of Lacock Abbey was the scene where William Henry Fox Talbot discovered photography, making the first photographic negative in history here, in 1835. It is a paper negative little bigger than a stamp, made with the which his wife called "mousetrap cameras".

Here you can see the room where he made this first negative, with the camera on a fireplace and looking out the window.

Briefly, he painted fine paper with table salt and silver nitrate; he put it on the camera and left it staring at the window for quite some time. They told me that between 15 minutes and two hours, but I think it was more like between 2 and 3 hours. In the candlelight he saw that the paper had obtained the image of the window...in negative. He then immersed it in a strong salt solution, which almost fixed the image in its state. It wasn't until 6 years later that it was discovered that with sodium thiosulphate the image was perfectly fixed, by dissolving the rest of the silver salts present (which would completely darken the image, over time).

Fox Talbot did not publish his work until 1839, when he was surprised by the news arriving from France, where Louis Daguerre had solemnly presented his process with silver plates and toxic vapors of iodine and mercury, the daguerreotype.

Fox Talbot greatly improved his own process in 1840, by incorporating the fixer and especially by managing to reduce exposures from 3 hours to 3 minutes (and down to less than one, with a good objective). He called it a calotype.

But from 1839 to 1851, daguerreotypes dominated photography completely, as they were impressively sharper and easily allowed portraits. But calotypes could be copied, being negatives, making the evolution of photography (with the wet plate from 1851 onwards) from the work of Fox Talbot.

Edit: Explored. Thanks, kids.

This air ambulance can respond and transport injured minifigs. Seen here with my redesigned Medic 2 and Truck 2.

I had previously built a Lego life flight helicopter, but I've never been completely satisfied with the design – especially the fact that it didn't have working doors. I wanted a more compact design similar to this helicopter and this helicopter.

The doors open to hold a minifig and stretcher. No tail rotor? That's because it uses the Notar system. Both the helicopter and medic unit are an almost zero-studs design.

Yeah, so this is because I haven't taken photos in DAYS, and because ever since I saw Sarah's photo, I've wanted to do one like it.

So, I'm super behind in tags, so I'm just going to do 20 facts and 5 songs, and tag everyone who has tagged me recently. Sorry, everyone, I love you all. <3

20 Facts.

1. I'm a theater kid, and a theater nerd.

2. I probably spend more time on Flickr and Fanfiction than I do actually taking photos and reading books.

3. I have a little bit of an obsession with Bath and Body Works.

4. I LOVE dark chocolate.

5. I can sing, but I can't dance, as much as I try.

6. I listen to songs from Disney movies all the time.

7. I don't usually wear makeup.

9. I'm a big feminist (sorry, Sarah, you already knew that.)

10. I grow attached to characters in books.

11. I go to a selective school where I had to test to get into.

12. I'm the only girl in my family that's not younger than 11 or older than 21.

13. I really strive towards being well-liked. I feel unwanted whenever I even think someone is irritated with me. One of my flaws.

14. I'm a total goody-two shoes. Yep. Sigh.

15. I'm going to Niagara Falls and New York this summer. Super excited!

16. I'm most likely going to meet someone (amazing, might I say) from Flickr in the next few weeks.

17. My favorite season is fall, because of the colors and the light.

18. I'm applying for a summer photography program that pays me (maybe photoshop soon!)

19. I'm very much a dreamer.

20. I want to be happy, and I want to make others happy.

5 Favorite Songs! (Currently.)

1. Life is Beautiful by Vega 4. I've loved this song since it was featured in the My Sister's Keeper trailer - I think it really does describe life, and it can make me cry or smile.

2. Set Fire to the Third Bar by Snow Patrol. I really like Snow Patrol because of the pure emotion and beauty in their songs, and this one really captures the emotion of desire and loss. It's breathtaking.

3. Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. This song holds a special place in my heart because it reminds me of all the heroes in books I love (such as Harry Potter and The Hunger Games. It's also incredibly good and catchy, and the lyrics are so great.

4. No One Mourns the Wicked from Wicked the Musical. I ADORE this musical, and the book that it was adapted from, and this song is so incredible because it captures how people are hypocritical and wrong without even knowing. I think this is one flaw that so many people have, and Wicked captures it beautifully.

5. Run Freedom Run from Urinetown the Musical. This was the show I was just in, and this was my favorite song to sing in it. So much fun, and it has such a good message.

1.This was not the photo shoot I had in mind because of the snow I had to change my plans.

2. I am not happy with this photo or the editing ( I am to lazy to switch my CS5 to my desktop)

3. That's duct tape around my body my boyfriend said I now have toxins steeping in my body.

4.I could not get the one around my neck off my boyfriend said he didn't want his finger prints on it in case I died trying to get it off.

5.I will never duct tape my chest again and let's leave it at that!!

HCS !!!!!!

Didn't even know I made explore

We all make mistakes each day. There is no way to get around them or the problems that we face daily. That's why I live by the motto to be nice to everyone cause we're all facing our own battle. That battle could be school, job, family, marriage, any of those; or it could be as small as passing your license test or taking a successful photograph for a magazine. Whether the battle is your win or your lose, it's part of the past. We can't hold on but learn from our past life

Ooh Chloe tagged me, so here is my sixteen things about myself which are random.

1. I GET MY LICENSE TOMORROW IF I PASS. I'm extremely nervous.

2. I feel like I will never be successful in anything because no matter which direction I go, there are plenty of people trying to follow that path as well.

3. I'm still five foot. I wish I was growing ;( wahhhH!!!

4. If I could be any animal, I'd be a bird.

5. xI'm straight edgex.

6. I wish I had some musical talent so I could be in a band. I go to plenty of shows and everyone on stage looks like their having fun [most of the time] and in my opinion, it looks like a group of friends to call a family. TEACH ME :<

7. I feel like I'm annoying 24/7. I hate it.

8. My mum always says "fake it till you make it" - i think she is right

9. Since I'm never really dating anyone ever, I feel like i'm going to be single forever. Especially during this time of the season, I wish I had a boyfraan for once and not someone who's going to fuck me over. WHERE ARE YOU BOY!?

10. When I was younger, I had an OCD with numbers. I used to count everything..my steps, the lines on the ground, syllables, everything. I basically grew out of it a while ago.

11. I really want to move out of Florida. People here think they know me so well when most of them haven't had an actual conversation with me. It is awful. I want a new group of people to make an impression on. I just want to be accepted.

12. Half of the time i'm in the wrong place at the wrong time.

13. I never feel loved.. not even the least bit.

14. I complain too much.

15. I like roadtrips! I'd only go on a roadtrip to see certain bands such as ADTR, FYS, SYG, Brighten, City and Colour, STYG, xLiferuinerx, and some others :)

16. I want to become a better person.

PS. THATS MEGHAN NOT ME :)

This week’s 52Frames challenge is “Something New”—a theme open to endless interpretation. Whether it’s a first attempt at a creative technique, a freshly opened camera lens, or a once-in-a-lifetime experience, the concept invites exploration. Think new beginnings: a haircut, a thrill ride, a style shift… or simply viewing the familiar with fresh eyes.

This week was all about stepping outside my usual toolbox and into something new—three things, to be exact:

1. I finally put my DIY backlight scanner to work. Over the winter, a friend 3D-printed the pieces, and I spent days painting and assembling it… only to let it sit, untouched, until this challenge nudged me into action.

2. I also got my hands on a Tokina 11–20mm F2.8 lens—a lens I’d never used before. Wide, fast, and fun to experiment with.

3. And then there were orbs. Despite plenty of light painting in the past, I’d never tried an orb until now. Let’s just say it was… spirited. Sloppy, yes—but if anything, it’s a starting point. Onward and upward from here.

The only real drawback? Mosquitoes had a field day with my legs. Apparently, they were the only ones unimpressed by my light show.

I believe this is attempt number 11 and it seems successful. However:

1) let's see if the chalice survives the night

2) I absolutely can't imagine such delicate structure being transported to an event....

I really don't know what to do. Tape it? Wrap in flex foil? Unwrapping will be just as risky as transporting.

Damn you, Project Endor.

By the way - upper chalices for both pillars consist of 1,800 parts. Two lower chalices - easily over 1,000 parts. I'm afraid to think how many parts there are in the entire Project Endor.

Explored! #10

I have been tagged by Jayashree and Madhu, so here are 16 things about me.

1. I think 16 is way too big a number.

2. I just watched a crappy movie and am watching another one now - my 10th movie this week. I'm quite a movie buff, but this series of crappy movies is something I've never done.

3. I don't usually like making lists, but am compelled to write this after seeing other flickr friends do it :-)

4. I like reading - anything. After reading the extremely influential Ayn Rand's works, I have hugely cut short on reading nonsense fiction.

5. I don't really "play" piano, but I like "playing with" my piano (well, keyboard, actually).

6. I've spent a TON of time on photography in the last 6 months.

7. I'm a vegetarian.

8. I hated Social Studies as a kid, but now am quite interested in History and Economics. And I've always liked Geography anyway.

9. I like dark chocolate. I am not much into sweets or even ordinary milk chocolate.

10. Cricket is my favorite sport. I spent so much time on it as a kid that my dad threatened to disown me if he saw me with the bat again. (of course, he didn't :P)

11. I like Philosophy and Psychology, and to think about the "why/how" of things.

12. I have a list of 'places to visit' (Peru to Turkey to Ireland to.. ), and I hope I get a chance to visit all of them.

13. I like music, all kinds of them. I sometimes tend to completely ignore the lyrics and just let the music/tune stick in my head.

14. I keep wishing that people looked at the bigger picture, stopped fighting about religion, money, gas etc., and worried about more important things instead.

15. While growing up, I wanted to be an astronomer, cricketer, and a doctor - ended up designing/writing software.

16. I once bought 'Learn Tamil in 30 days' book so that I could watch the following episode of Marma Desam in Tamil right after the one in Telugu. I managed to learn only a few words, but can now read/write Tamil. :D

17. And oh, I'm a *HUGEEEE* fan of Matrix.

Actually 2. I just ate one of those apples. We haven't been inside a store in over a week, waiting for Peapod tomorrow between 7 pm to 10 pm. I am the fruit eater in the house and it's a real addiction so I've been rationing. Two apples, a banana and an orange per day are my usual takes. Been squeaking by on one. I'll splurge tomorrow with an apple and an orange. ;-)

A long time ago...I might tag some of my favorite flickr contacts later, but not now...

So...ten things about me-

1.This picture was taken today. I am wearing no make-up and it is unedited because I wanted to say plain and simple, this is me.

2. I am sixteen years old. Some of my contacts think I am a "professional" in my animal work, I am not, actually, yet at least. But I have been helping animals ever since I can remember though.

3. That "yet" part is would go along with my goal after high school which is acquiring a job with Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Cross your fingers for me. I would eventually like open my own shelter, though.

4. I don't consider myself that great of a photographer, but I really like sharing my animal pictures and stories.

5. My interest in animals makes me the odd one out in my family. They are all performers- my parents, actors and my brother a musician. They were hoping I would be an artist. Ohhh well.

6. I really like writing. I have three pieces in the works- One a research paper about why it is wrong to ban pit bulls, another expansion on my memoir about my experience with a stray dog I worked with and I will be starting a log of how to tame a feral cat as soon as I get my next one.

7. I am getting a feral cat from my shelter to work with after spring break. I've worked with about twelve other ferals. I have really enjoyed them. The necklace hanging out of my mouth, which I wear often, has ashes in it from my first difficult feral, Kaylo.

8. I am going to Florida for my spring break which is why I can't take the cat until after then. It will be my first vacation in eight years. It is with my Marine Biology class. I don't know what to do with this excitement.

9. These last few years have been amazingly difficult for me. I've had issues with just about every aspect of my life and the lives around me. You nice people on flickr leaving me comments brightens my day ridiculously. Pat yourself on the back.

10. My niece is the only person in the world that can make me as happy as animals can.

Okay, so that's it. 10 things about me. I'm actually gonna leave this one open for any questions, too. Stuff about me, animal advice, random things, whatever. Ask away. Messaging is cool too.

I got "tagged" a while back, so here 'tis:

1.I have never had a “career” ~ I’ve been director of a social service agency, law librarian, investigator, teacher, forklift operator, disc jockey, retail sales clerk, homeless shelter counselor, magician, nanny. I just couldn’t seem to find my “niche.”

2.I spent 5 years as an undergraduate student because there were so many things I was interested in learning. I have Minors in Anthropology, Psychology, Art History and Philosophy.

3.I’ve suffered from severe depression and panic attacks all my life (my parents confirmed this when I was older) and was once hospitalized for a month because I seriously contemplated suicide. In the hospital, I first met ‘others like me.’ I’ll never forget them; I owe them a lot.

4.I’m not a photographer, in the strictest sense. I don’t think much about it, never carry a camera, have no idea what an f-stop is. I just point and shoot what I like ~ mostly toys.

5. I prefer to wear clothing that somebody else once occupied; thus, most of my apparel comes from Salvation Army. My sweaters are all full of holes but they are comfy and familiar. However, it's time to sew on some more buttons...

6.I’m quite boring, really, because my dream life has always been a family, house with white picket fence, BBQ in backyard, children. The 1950’s syndrome.

7.I was married once. It lasted about 2-1/2 years. I was only happy during the first 5 months. I was 29 years old. I’m now closing in on 53.

8.I’ve only really been in love once in my life. I was 19 at the time.

9.Some of the pets I’ve had (besides cats and dogs): fish, budgies, tarantula, rat (the blessed Jack), Fluffy the hissing cockroach. As a child, my parents let my brothers and I keep horned toads, snakes, spiders ~ anything we brought into the house. We once even had a baby caiman.

10.It’s very difficult for me to listen to music, as it makes me cry.

11.I cry easily. Sometimes for no apparent reason.

12.I do not fear death. I’ve had a gun to my head and knives to my throat (I was in the wrong neighborhood in another city and mistaken for an FBI agent, of all things).

13.I held my mother’s hand as she passed away in the hospital.

14.When I dream, I realize I’m dreaming and am able to alter the course of the dream. I haven’t had a nightmare since I was 12 years old.

15.My preferred headwear is a Bowler. I also smile a lot. See?

16.I seem to have “lost interest,” for lack of a more accurate phrase, in flickr (but not my friends) and almost deleted my account. I don’t understand why nor I do know when I’ll be active again…

Secret #2

I love coffee...addiction started when I started college...I really needed to stay awake in class...:)))

Have a great week everybody:)))

Time it was, and what a time it was, it was. A time of innocence, a time of confidences. Long ago, it must be, I have a photograph. Preserve your memories; they're all that's left you.

New year, new pictures, trials, accomplishments, failures, understanding, comprehension, meanings, faces, bodies, clouds, sea, skies, a right time, right moments, thoughtful actions, the beginning of another chapter, another year. Motivations aren't only found when the time changes, they're all around, you just have to notice them in between everything else you've been ignoring for so long.

Quite easily the best picture from this shoot. These are the last 2, I hope you've enjoyed them. Remember to head over to the Born 95 fan page on Facebook and check these two out!

I did a shoot with Hannah and Simi earlier, which went immeasurably better than planned, and those pictures will be coming up starting tomorrow :D
