~ Bruce Peninsula National Park
This was my first time visiting a Canadian National Park and I have to say, I come away with mixed reviews.
For the record, I want to point out that it has been many years since I have done true car camping. I have come to appreciate my own space in the wilderness (outback camping) and have been blessed with few neighbours to put up with. So, I did go in knowing that I would have to be tolerant to all that car camping brings.
National Parks and Provincial Parks also operate very differently. Here are just a few of the many, well, umm, major or minor differences depending on your preferences:
1. staff. Staffing has been cut drastically in Provincial Parks. You rarely see anyone unless it is a weekend. There are sooooo many Rangers at Bruce Peninsula National Park!
2. I’ve been to Provincial Parks where they clean the camp privies every 3 days. One day I witnessed them cleaning the privies 3 times in one day at Bruce Peninsula! (Btw ~ Bruce Peninsula aka Cypress Lake Campground has no comfort stations aka showers). And I was away most of the day!!
3. Check out time for camping at Provincial Parks is 2 pm. You are welcome to use your camping permit to enter any Provincial Park that day for free. However, Bruce Peninsula kicks you off your site at 11 am. Want to stay the rest of the day to sight-see? With exception to this year (free for Canada’s 150 Birthday) you need to cough up parking/entrance fees because your camping permit is worth squat! How do you say “federal government double dipping”?
4. Strict rules of Bruce Peninsula = No drinking booze after 10pm. No fires after 11pm. I guess, in a way that might make sense since action starts at 7am!
Having said, I will try to go back to the Bruce Peninsula National Park again. However, next time I will trek to one of the two clusters of outback campsites → even though campfires are prohibited at the outback sites!
I was hoping for more sunset sky colour with those light clouds but it all just dissolved into nothing. This was the best of the show. Bummer.
Thank you for all of your kind comments, visits, faves and invites. I do appreciate you taking the time to stop by for a wee visit. ♥ =^D

January 27, 2019 marks 75 years since the final lifting of the blockade of Leningrad.
On Malaya Sadovaya Street, Manezhnaya Square and Italianskaya Street, a reconstruction of the blockade of Leningrad has been launched: the project “Street of Life”.

1. If a few years ago somebody had told me how my life would look now, I wouldn’t believe.
2. I’m proud of being polish. There’re polish burglars, thieves, and car stealers- like in every country there are people looking for easy money. Most polish people are hard-working and honest, though many times miserable.
3. I have master in plant biotechnology. I chose this specialization cause I can’t kill animals. When we had labs with rats I was going out to bathroom for an hour.
4. I think my biggest discovery was realizing that not everybody thinks and feels like me. That my words or gestures can be understood differently. I think all of us make same discovery.
I still try to understand it.
5. I always try to have clear intentions. I also appreciate it the most in others.
6. Sometimes I dream about beautiful places- green high forests, small clean lakes… It’s home.
Sometimes I can’t sleep.
7. Missing somebody is part of my everyday life. There’s only few days whenI have everybody I love around. These are holidays for me.
8. I’m little bit of an elf. It’s mostly cause I grew up near forest. As a kid I played on swamps, caught frogs, dragon flies and other animals. Every day was an adventure.
9. I like to play football. I haven’t played for years and I don’t play well but I enjoy it.
10. I can drink 3L of polish beer. Also Spanish.
This rule definitely is not applied to Belgian beers.
11. I’m a PhD student in Madrid now. I learn Spanish from basics and I can tell you- It’s not easy to live in a country you’re not able to communicate.
But I have good teachers.
12. I’ve never understood why anybody would want to be like me. It’s quite difficult.
13. There are two kind of films. The ones I fell asleep on and the ones I cry on. Sometimes I’m a softie.
Lately I appreciate also action films that are difficult to include in this classification…
14. I’m not a person that wants to be in the centre of attention but I like to be listened to.
15. I’m lucky to meet great people wherever I go. People that always help me cause I also have luck to strange accidents.
16. Science is my job, psychology is my interest, photography is my love and reading is my hobby.

So normally a new doll is happy time. But this time it isn't! The quality of this doll is ridiculous!
1: I couldn't get her earrings on
2: I couldn't get her 2nd outfit on
3: Her first shirt is cut out way to low, it doesn't cover her boobs at all ;S
So these things are not that bad BUT when I tried to remove her jacket I hold her hand and tried to put the sleeve of her freaking hand BROKE OFF!! I'm so mad !!! I mailed the store that I want a new one our a replacement. But actually I don't wanna send this girl back becouse she does have a flawless face ): I hope I can get my money back and can keep this one >_> I put her hand back and it can moves like the other only not twist if you don't hold her hand so..
You know the type... the quiet ones, down at the end of the bar. The ones that look like they are there for a reason, and it isn't a good one.
Our Daily Challenge - Jan 2, 2020: "The Roaring 20's"
I was thinking Gangster... maybe Speakeasy... but ultimately lacked the props to pull it off on short notice.
This is the usual black Fedora decorated with some white bias tape, as I couldn't figure out how to make satin ribbon lay flat (tips? anyone?)
The Bottle is real (originally held ginger ale) but the Old Fashioned "Glass" is plastic (safer).
I also shot a version just like it plus a white Boa - perhaps our Gangster was drinking over a woman? But it looked cluttered, and being white was too bright to fit with "Dark" (below).
As for Toby, we practiced "Hats" several times today and by the time of his shoot he accepted the hat without complaint.
Alas, he's very stiff, lays awkwardly and is hard to reposition as he pops up every time I try to adjust anything.
I think we need to have some Posing Practice along with Hat Practice!
He's smart - he'll eventually figure out that popping up only delays getting to the GOOD cookies at the end.

Questions for the tag:
Simple question:
1. How are you?
2.Meaning behind your Flickr name?
3.Sexuality?
4.Style?
5.Did doll collecting influence your life in any way?
6.What does your family think about you as a doll collector?
7.Biggest fear?
1. I come to play a doll and am very fine.
2. I acquired my name from (cry of Japanese dog Wan Wan) which hard rock and a dog liked.
3.All my interest is FR dolls!
4.As for me, it likes dolls to photograph a scene in a model.
5.It became almost all my hobbies.
6.All my families know my hobby. There is neither the affirmation in particular nor the negation.
7.Most of the friends of my doll are older than me.
I pray for friends not decreasing.
The person gathering here is the same hobby, but the intention varies. I can watch the image of the person of the same hobby here and am happy.
Took this second shot in Brooklyn, NY near Pier 2. I have seen this pic countless times but wanted to try it myself. 2 minute exposure at little past the blue hour. Used Lightroom to added a cooler tone and clarity to the image.
OMGOMGOMG. I had a chance to try out the new Celestron RASA 8! For those of you who are familiar with our weather in Seattle, you'll understand our excitement about getting a 4-day stretch of PERFECT (and cold) weather during new moon.
Because the RASA is f/2, I collected a TON of data which I will process in the coming cloudy days, but I wanted to post this one photo of M42 ASAP because it is a true testament of what this astrograph can do.
This is a mere ~1 hr of data from a Bortle 8-9, urban sky. For you f/7 imagers out there, YOU would have to expose for 14.4 hours to get the same signal to noise! To help with the massive amount of light pollution in my area, I used the Celestron RASA LPR filter that just threads in to the top of the RASA corrector.
I'm VERY excited about the potential of this scope. It's an extremely fast, high performing, and affordable scope, AND it's probably one of the easiest systems I've used.
More tips in future posts (including a "how-to" on flat taking), but here's a good one to start out with: Make sure you have the right spacing between the camera and the RASA corrector for best optical performance. Incorrect spacing will really hurt imaging quality. If your stars are in focus in one part of the field, but out of focus elsewhere in the field, you should suspect that spacing might be the culprit.

A better cropped version, in my opinion, than the original I posted earlier. From a second series of 4 vertical frames stitched together in Affinity 2. I love clouds. Sometimes they add interest to an already beautiful outdoor scene. Here, I thought they rivaled the beauty and scale of Black Canyon.
My two favorite girls from the last two harem series I watched... not including To heart 2... I don't think I could have fit Yuma in here...
Miharu (Girls Bravo) is my all time favorite pink haired anime girl- she wasn't too ditzy and clueless to know how to save her man from torture! I love how she controlled her powers in the swimming pool escapade at school- even when she wasn't even in her own body.
Kaede (Shuffle) may have received a lot of hate for her insanity attack ,but I could really identify with her mentality (a lot of the women in my family think EXACTLY like her). I remember reading on youtube a debate about whose fault it was in the end- her's or Rin's... I say... BOTH.. they have a really sad lack of communication kind of relationship... I glad she didn't get with him... the whole time I was watching I kept thinking "OMG... this guy is a total MORON!!!"
Thank you for your kind comments! This is my first attempt in using HDR, and I am very happy to receive such positive responds.
For those who have no ideas over HDR, you may visit Wikipedia on HDR for further information on what and how to create HDR. The article also suggests ideal software to be used. Currently I am using photomatix and photoshop CS 2. I am not an expert to this field, so I can only refer you this information that has enable me to HDR processing. It is a cool tool to digitalised world! I am very much welcome to this trend and I think it is a very brilliant tool. It gives you other perspective towards digital photography processing.
Hope this information helps you to create progressive HDR photos! Good luck!

I saw this photographer along Las Vegas Boulevard North during Red Flag 22-2.
I'd never seen anyone use what appears to be a tripod foot on the telephoto lens as a mounting for a second camera. However, this was only one of several such rigs I saw that week.
I suspect that the smaller, co-axial camera is used for video, but I'd appreciate comments from anyone familiar with cameras configured this way.

Lontano da tutti,...lontano dal mondo
.
quando a casa fai ritorno
vorresti che lei
fosse li, ancora,
ad aspettarti,
si adagiasse vicino a te
al tuo fianco
per diventare la tua anima,
la tua immancabile ombra.
L’unica… che
hai da sempre amato
da quando la conoscesti.
Era la “ragazza” della porta accanto
l’hai notata e mai più l'hai scordata.
Bellissima e di un profumo
mai sentito,
d’un fiore non visto
dal colore candido
e delicato di cui
solo l’amore sa immaginare.
Saremmo stati solo noi
felici e nessun altro.
Lontano da tutti,
...lontano dal mondo.
Tu sai che sei la mia vita
da quel giorno che
ti ho rivista,
e con un unico bacio
ti ho riconquistata.
Ma adesso
la mia “ragazza”
mi ha abbandonato,
lo so, ho trascurato
quel grande amore , e tu,
adesso, appartieni ad un altro.
…vorrei solo morire
e in questo momento sparire
per sempre da questa terra
per non essere più visto
ne più ascoltato
e mai più da nessuna donna
…..amato.

Far from everyone,...far from the world
.
when you return home
you would like her
were there, still,
waiting for you,
she would lie down next to you
by your side
to become your soul,
your ever-present shadow.
The only one... that
you have always loved
since you met her.
She was the “girl” next door
you noticed it and never forgot it again.
Beautiful and fragrant
never heard,
of an unseen flower
with a white colour
and delicate of which
only love can imagine.
It would have just been us
happy and no one else.
Far from everyone,
...far from the world.
You know that you are my life
since that day
I saw you again,
and with a single kiss
I won you back.
But now
my girlfriend"
he abandoned me,
I know, I overlooked it
that great love, and you,
now, you belong to someone else.
…I would just like to die
and at this moment disappear
forever from this earth
never to be seen again
nor listened to anymore
and never again by any woman
…..beloved.

Years ago I found a load of Canon inkjet photo paper at a thrift store for $2. I picked it up thinking I could print photos, even though I had no working printer.
One day on a whim I coated a sheet with Cyanotype solution and achieved a stunning, but forever slightly sticky print.
143 215-2 schiebt die S6 (Essen Hbf - Köln-Nippes) am 16.09.2012 zwischen Essen-Werden und Essen-Kettwig durch einen kleinen Einschnitt.
Continuing with my new year's resolution of more quickly publishing photos I recently took, here's a vertical panorama I took yesterday during our most recent "atmospheric river," or crazy, insane, two-day downpour for those of you who don't speak meteorology.
Why a vertical panorama in 1:2? I'm not sure, although this isn't the first panorama I've taken like this. It just felt right, I guess. But will anyone ever order a 5' tall print of this? Will anyone ever make a calendar or book in these dimensions? Probably not, although it would look great at over 8300 pixels on the long side!
Thanks for looking!
Oooooo, aaaaaaahhhh :-)
Type "L" to see the image on black (highly recommended).
I've been struggling all year to bring things up into a new level with my star photography. It's been difficult to do that because 1, I'm not quite sure who/what/where/when I want to go to this "new level" and 2, I've been trying to put attention and effort in so many other areas, I haven't been out relentlessly shooting and experimenting as I want to be.
But, I feel like this one is stepping out into that new area I'm trying to find. Still not sure what it is- but I feel like with this image, I'm closer than I was before.
That's exciting to me :-)
Once I become stagnant, I'm done. Experimentation is my fuel.
What do you think?
This was taken earlier in the month, an hour after leaving a "Star Party" up on Mt Hood. It was fun! Telescopes, binoculars- all kinds of stuff set up to share and learn from. Around midnight, we were ready to move on, so following Gary Randall, we all headed down here to Trillium Lake. This place is beautiful. And, Gary is the master of Trillium Lake/Mt Hood shots!
Day Two: Further. 1. Maybe I had one too many drinks, but I gave a shake for a shake. 2. I knew there was someone watching me from the shadows. Who was this man? 3. Imagine my surprise when I discovered my old friend, Wiener Dog!
"Wiener Dog! How wonderful to find you here, lurking midst the pillows of this tent!" I cried with drunken enthusiasm.
Matthias Docksyund was less enthusiastic, having had far less spirits than I.
"I keep telling you, Ricki, my name isn't Dachshund."

Acrylic media. Lemon Street gallery I did many years ago. I'm a Street gallery number 2. I finished January 5, 2017. For some reason the data my camera when the picture was taken. My wife used to take all my photos of my art. Now I'm starting to learn how to do it. I haven't figured out to change the date on the camera.
Hello! Another snow day today, and school has already been called off for tomorrow. Best week ever. Seriously. I only had to go to school on Monday. Love.
Anyway, I was planning something exciting today, but it didn't really work out, so I decided instead to start my senior portraits. I'm taking my own since 1) it's free, and 2) I can be my own photographer. Hooray for that!
A little sumthin', sumthin' outside my normal type of shot. I don't usually photograph buildings, but I am always so delighted with the beach houses and other types of architecture in coastal areas. They're always so bright, and cheery, and colorful. You can also see the gorgeous blue South Carolina sky that we had the whole time we were on vacation there which also delighted me to no end! : )

I was blue, just as blue as I could be
Ev'ry day was a cloudy day for me
Then good luck came a-knocking at my door
Skies were gray but they're not gray anymore
Blue skies
Smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies
Do I see
Bluebirds
Singing a song
Nothing but bluebirds
All day long
Never saw the sun shining so bright
Never saw things going so right
Noticing the days hurrying by
When you're in love, my how they fly
Blue days
All of them gone
Nothing but blue skies
From now on

I should care if the wind blows east or west
I should fret if the worst looks like the best
I should mind if they say it can't be true
I should smile, that's exactly what I do

The Alviso Marina County Park in Alviso, California, is always fun to visit. It's only 20 min from home, so I like to go there once in a while for sunset. I took this shot of an Amtrak train half an hour after sunset with a Canon 50mm f1.2 vintage lens at f1.2.
I processed a balanced HDR photo from a RAW exposure, and carefully pulled the curves.
