I just realized my Nikkor 105mm Micro lens is a macro lens, and with the removable prism on the Nikon F3 I have a ready-made TTV setup.

there is hardly anything better than slipping between freshly laundered sheets on the bed, especially if those sheets have been hanging in the sunlight for a few hours. The smell is probably exactly how I imagine heaven smells.
for my own 10 Things I Don't Like set (the counter to the 10 things group):
#1: I don't like pickles. Sorry Mom. My mom lovingly jarred all these pickles, and I wish I liked them so I could eat them and enjoy her great efforts. But I don't.

snow! finally! (but actually too late for me...)
but the tomcats were very excited - and chicken-hearted, because they don't really know this weird white and cold stuff named "snow". but they were allowed to have a little taste of snow on the balcony.
10 things: it was so cute and funny to see them exploring the snow. :-)

Keks brought it up, I concur, so here it is. Coffee is definitely one of my 10 things too. And with coffee I don't mean that filtered crap, but the Real Thing. Though I usually prefer a latte, an espresso (that's a short black for you australian people always on the lookout for different names) is always a pleasure to drink. Coffee for me is rather enjoyment than the desperately needed caffeine fix. Making and drinking coffee is a time to enjoy, relax and think.
Coffee by Coffeemamas, the best coffee in town. They roast themselves, but the latte you can buy in their shop is not the best actually.
That sticker in the background is from Havana Coffee Works, the company making the best coffee in the whole New Zealand. If you're in Wellington, head over to Midnight Espresso in Cuba Street and bask in the joy of freshly roasted and ground coffee.

Getting a couple rows done on the bag. Ahh... a good day. Kids playing, mommies knitting and visiting. Good, good day.
I really love this picture. It represents so much of what I love... my children, my knitting, picnicing with my girlfriends, photographing the simple life we live. This makes me happy to see it all here in this little rectangle.

Some folks need a cuppa coffee to wake up in the morning but for me it's a hot steamy shower that's required... even in hot sticky summer.
I just realized I never uploaded any of the images from a class exercise called "rocket ship". And I still have dozens of other images that might make it here eventually too. :-)
The premise was you are leaving alone in a rocket ship for the rest of your life and you can take only 10 photographs with you to remind you of ... whatever. I took the class at MIT and you'd be amazed how many of those smart students photographed a full laid out deck of cards so they could play solitaire. :-))))

Questi ultimi giorni di Novembre.. vuoi per il sonno che sento sempre ma che quando arrivo a letto mi abbandona.. vuoi per altre ragioni.. sono sempre nervosetta.. Stasera arrivo a casa da lavoro.. entro e sento un buon odore.. arrivo in cucina e vedo questa delizia di cui io vado matta.. e mia ma che dice: se tu non ne vuoi ti fai un pò di pastina ( mi sfotteva come al solito XD )
Ed io.. con un bel sorriso e dimentica di tutto lo stress della giornata le dico: NO NO.. la voglio!!!
La cena di stasera mi ha resa felice...
Quella che vedete in foto dalle mie parti si chiama "vasteda" .. la ricetta inutile anche metterla.. è lo stesso impasto della pizza.. evitando sia l'olio che lo zucchero.. quando lievita si fanno dei panetti.. si stende rotonda (mia ma la fa con le mani senza mattarello) e si fa un buco in centro.. poi si frigge in olio bollente.. quando ancora è calda si spolvera di formaggio grattuggiato.. e mangiata tiepida fa schizzare la felicità in alto in alto in alto... adoro mangiare ragazzi XD

Things that smell good .. such as my bathroom diffuser .. make me feel good. This one is very subtle. I've grown so accustomed to it that I can only smell it now when I first walk into the room. It is subtle and sweet .. like the way rain smells in the spring.

#5 Panera Bread
FINALLY....they have Panera Bread in Panama City Beach.....every place I have moved seems to get a Panera Bread approximately the time I am planning on moving, giving me only a little while to enjoy it. ...... and I LOVE Panera Bread....the bread is delicious, the salads are inventive and fresh, the pastries are heavenly, and the house latte my favorite blend around. This was a new discovery...the mango smoothie....also freshly made with fresh fruit, topped with whipped cream and raspberry sauce. Heavenly.....Panera Bread....take me away.....

"10 cose" è originariamente un blog ( 10things.wordpress.com/ ) che da in seguito vita ad un gruppo flickr ( www.flickr.com/groups/10-things ). Aperto da due ragazze che, non importa quanto brutta la giornata sia stata, riescono sempre a fare una lista di 10 cose positive/che amano/che le rendono felici (quotidiana, settimanale o, come nel nostro caso, mensile).
quindi..via a questo nuovo progetto!!! cominciamo da..
TE.
si,te.quasi 2 anni assieme. ne sono successe davvero di tutti i colori.. eppure non ci siamo più divisi. Quanti litigi...quanta gelosia.. quanto amore.Spesso la passione ci travolge..e non lascia più spazio a nessun dissapore.
Non ci capiamo mai, ma ci baciamo sempre.Litighiamo e facciamo l'amore.Ci insultiamo e ci cerchiamo per ore. Certe volte penso che davvero ho perso la testa ..
e poi le corse perdigiato, i battiti del cuore accellerati, la paura di perderti, di saperti tra le braccia di un'altra, di qualcuna che vuole rubarti dalla mia vita.. e inventarmi ogni giornata per non renderla mai uguale a quella precedente.
La voglia di non diventare mai grandi, viaggiare senza mai fermarsi.. e imparare a vivere.
ti amo perchè .. non ci ho mai capito davvero niente, e tutta questa confusione mi riempe il cuore ..

You'd think in February it mighta snowed the day I was shooting this assignment, but no. So I had to pull out a snow globe to depict it. Guess I'm a New England girl because snow was definitely on my list of 10 things I'd miss if I left earth forever.
The snow globe is the oldest one in my micro-collection (I'm picky about my snow globes- they need to be really really simple and the snow has to look like snow when it falls) but it's one of my favorites. it's a cheap little thing I picked up at Crate & Barrel and you can see it's starting to lose liquid. Still, it's the first one I pull out every year to begin my celebration of "the festive season". :-)
For those just joining us, the description of the "rocket ship" assignment from my photo class is in the tags. Not my best shot, but they can't all be. ;-)
4 – Coffee break / pause-café: Expresso double & Korea Times.
En général juste après le petit resto du midi, au Coffee Bean du coin de la rue. « ‘Expresso double’ han ge jusseyo. Ne, yogi-o ». Quand je suis seul, un petit crochet par le kiosque à journaux sur la grande avenue pour savourer le Korea Times en même temps que le petit noir. J’ai mis un bout de temps à casser le rythme effréné de la journée de travail coréenne, en adoptant cette petite pause réparatrice avant que mes collègues français arrivent au bureau (décalage horaire oblige, vers seize heures l’été, dix-sept heures l’hiver, heure de Séoul). Ca a super bien marché, depuis que j’ai pris cette habitude.
Papa
My grandfather would kill me if he knew I posted an unshaven photo of him. He's such a well-groomed man and takes such great pride in his appearance (the over-80 set still gets all giddy when they find out I'm his grandchild, musing over his legendary good looks). But I love this photo. Besides, he doesn't know how to work a computer, so I'll take my chances.
Dude turned 90 on February 25. His secret? Hot dogs and whoopee pies every day and two packs of cigarettes each day for fifty years.
My grandfather is an amazing man. He grew up in the poorest family in Gloucester and learned how to steal as an 8-year-old to help his family survive.
He lived through two World Wars, and fought in one. While there he was charged with walking across Italy under General Patton to finally be stationed in the city where his parents had emigrated from.
For all he's been through you'd think he'd ask for a lot. But all he really wants is for his 10 grandchildren to live within five miles of him, for them to kiss him every time they see him, and to be able to have enough money in the bank to give us each a five dollar bill for every kiss (Papa understands inflation).
That, and he'd like his daughter to vote Democrat. We all have a dream Papa.

During dessert and coffee I peaked outside and noticed a faint upper tangent arc. I quickly finished my coffee and excused myself. I knew I had a short time to record this. The tangent was subtle, brightening and dimming from one moment to the next.
it was my birthday on saturday and sometime in the morning arrived this glorious orchid. I find its tough tender petals, exotic shapes beckoning thoughts of tropical rain forests full of monkeys and brightly coloured insects, completely engrossing. seeing it there, all day, triggered a big smile reflex; made me remember how blessed I am to have people who would be so thoughtful as to mark my birthday with such a bold joy.

#8 Sunny Afternoon at the Beach
....This was my first real afternoon spent at the beach this summer....I have been to the beach for small pieces and parts this summer.....but this was my first real venture. I was able to spend the afternoon with friends enjoying sunny weather, clear skies, and gorgeous crystal blue water. Nice day for the beach....if I do say so myself....

SOOO I got tagged like 4 days ago and I am finally doing it now. heehee. ENJOY:)
1. I loove Christmas. First because my Savior was born. Secondly, I loooove Christmas decorations, lights, trees, everything. I just wish I had the time to decorate more. Until I have my own place and children, but alas that won’t be for a while.
2. Jesus is my light of the world. I am so grateful for His unfailing love and grace for me.
3. I can roll my tongue three times. :-p
4. I miss gymnastics; I wish my body didn’t have to get old.
5. I absolutely love children. I really do want to have 6-7 children, crazy? Yes, why yes I am.
6. I need to pick up another crazy, dangerous sport. I was thinking snowboarding. I really want to learn!
7. I love stuffed animals. You’re never too old for stuffed animals!
8. I loooooove to read, but only if the book catches my attention and I enjoy reading it. I can’t just read any ol’ book. I love getting wrapped up in a good book and feeling like nothing else is around you.
9. I’m a bit frightened of the future. I really want to get married, but it really can wait a few years.
10. If a bed is a full size or bigger, I have this weird thing where I have to sleep on the left side of the bed.
