a walk along the beach with the one you love
Max and Mia have become emotionally attached; the typical 'boy and his dog' love story. When we take her, it is always a dog friendly destination. I think she throws a fit when we leave home without her because she thinks those are the only places we go. She has never been to school, work, or shopping. Dogs never hate and always happy to see you. Humans can learn a lot from dogs. Pets are one of my ten things.

5 – Korea outside of Seoul.
Yesterday, Dave and I visited Hot Dougs, for some delightful hot-dogs. I, of course, went with the Chicago-style vegetarian dog, and it was so good! YUM!

The focus of this is not what I wanted it to be, however, I like it.
And I was tagged, a while ago actually, by Miss Angela Mary Butler so I suppose it's about time I got around to doing this. If I list you as a person in this photo it means you're now tagged.
1. My life is currently changing drastically.
2. I have 7 tattoos and I'm pretty sure I'm not done getting them.
3. I work at Snip It's, a children's hair salon, as a receptionist / a party coordinator.
4. I love the Harry Potter movies.
5. I've been finding it hard to remember that I take photos for myself, not to make explore, not to get comments, views or be reblogged.
6. I have a lot of anxiety, it's hard to deal with sometimes, I also struggle with depression.
7. I was voted most pessimistic out of my entire senior class.
8. The next cameras I want are a t1i and a ae-1…both Canons obviously.
9. I am afraid that I won't graduate highschool this year like I'm supposed to because I've been sick so much and missed so many days…but I'm hoping for the best.
10. I desperately want to be thin, but I'm currently too lazy to do something about it.
August 7, 2009-- Once my cousin and I made it to Atlanta on our way home from Texas, we took a break next to some outlets so we could charge up our laptops.
Annnd here goes. I was tagged by Adrian.
1. I've come to find that I actually like airports. What I'm not so fond of is waiting around for flights.
2. I am Irish, German, Welsh, and British.
3. My favorite color in the whole world is green.
4. I am moving out of my parents house next week. I'm so insanely excited, but also a little scared.
5. I do not acept lying, cheating, or backstabbing. Unless the circumstances are severe, I will be very hard-pressed to forgive such acts.
6. My two favorite shows are Law and Order: SVU and Gilmore Girls. Thanks to my boyfriend, I own the entire series of GG. And I own seasons 6-9 of SVU.
7. Theatre is my biggest passion. Being on stage is completly icomparable. I can't get enough of the feeling, of the adrenaline. I am sure that there is nothing I will ever love more.
8. My family and my friends are very important to me. I would take bullets for them anyday of the week.
9. I cry whenever I think about my grandfather. He died on August 31, 2005. I miss him everyday, and I dedicate every performance I am in to him. I hope he is proud of me.
10. I appreciate every kind of music. If you play my iTunes, you will jump between country, pop, rap, rock (classic, alternative, new age, screamo, etc.) hip hop, r&b, musicals, gospel hymns! It's crazy. I'm the most eclectic person Iknow.
"/ I don't have anyone to tag who hasn't been tagged....
Addio 2009.. spero di non replicarti mai piu..

:10 things
(I'm gonna actually get 10 for September if I didn't just jinx myself)
I was tagged a long time ago, but I just now finally decided to do this, although I know this isn't a picture of me. Oh, well. :)
1. This picture includes one of my favorite necklaces, a stained-glass heart that my dad bought me in Cape Charles.
2. This shot is one of at least 50, in an attempt to somehow capture this heart. After some extreme Picnik editing, this was the only one I was okay with.
3. I play the cello, and I've played the piano for many years. Whether it be my iPod, the radio, or playlist.com, I'm always listening to music. :D
4. I love reading, ahah. I don't really have one favorite book, but Fire, Shiver, the HP series, If I Stay, Pride & Prejudice, Scrambled Eggs At Midnight, Graceling, ahem..don't be a hater (the entire twilight series) & wayyy more, are some of my favorites.
5. I worry way too much about what people think. :(
6. I watch a lot of TV. Too much, according to my mother. :) I.E. House, Merlin, almost everything on USA, Vampire Diaries, & more.
7. Before I got a flickr myself, I'd spend a lot of time looking at all the Explores. :)
8. I'm lazy, a vegetarian, right-handed, a night-owl, have a kayak, own a lava lamp, and have a Jack Russell Terrier.
9. Some of my favorite people to listen to: Muse, Josiah Leming, OneRepublic, nevershoutnever!, Carly Comando, Imogen Heap, Boys Like Girls, Relient K, The All-American Rejects, Coldplay, Debussy, The Killers, Linkin Park, Matt & Kim, MGMT, All Time Low, 3OH!3, a bazillion others; and "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol never gets old.
10. I'm hungry. :) Pretty much all the time. I love pasta of all sorts, nutella, soups, pralines & cream ice-cream (Which Graeter's discontinued! >:(...), & popcorn! :D
Horseshoe Crab shell in the surf. I used a lensbaby with a shaped aperature to get the blurred effect and the stars in the bright spots. My lensbaby really makes me happy!
I was tagged by Tibiloo.
Hmmm...where to start?
1. I have a secret fascination for the Eurovision song contest. Or maybe it´s really not so secret...
2. I hardly ever go outside the house without makeup.
3. When I´m at meetings where I don´t have to pay too much attention or some other place where I can let my mind drift, I often plan outfits to wear for the next day or rest of the week
4. I was very unsure about having children before I got pregnant. I´ve never been very interested in other people´s kids. Now I don´t know what I was wondering about!
5. I loved being pregnant. I didn´t feel ill one day, no headaches and I wasn´t bothered by my allergies.
6. I´m a bit embarrassed to admit I loved reading the Twilight series. I´d like to tell people I read "serious" books.
7. I´m hooked on looking at mail order catalogues. The same goes for the online versions. Preferably while watching TV at the same time.
8. I´m originally blonde. But I guess you didn´t think my red hair was real...A while ago I actually had some doubts about continuing to colour it, but I haven´t dared to stop yet.
9. Sometimes I still dream about my old workplace, the shop I used to work in. It´s always nightmareish...
10. I secretly eat whatever sweets or snacks we have lying around when Svein isn´t looking (but I think he knows). I don´t know if I think the calories don´t count then? It´s really a bad habit...
I tag anyone who haven´t been tagged already!
10 Things.... probably my favorite thing about summer, except for swimming... mmmhmmm tomatoes.
When there was just one tomato left on the vine I sat it on my kitchen counter... all I could think was, "Hello my baby, hello my darling, hello my ragtime gal!"
Appearing in the background is one of Mary Grace's original pieces of art behind the sink and my favorite Pottery Barn outlet find ever.. my yellow frosted bubble vase.

Every week through our 10 Things Health Campaign we'll be posting tasty tips from our Champion Joan!
These tips will be simple things to make eating healthily fun and easy.
Today's tip is to chop up a kiwi fruit and put it in a zip lock bag to carry with you. Then the kiwi fruit is there ready to be a quick and easy snack when you need it. No need to make a mess peeling or trying to tackle a whole kiwi in the office or on the bus.

in addition to a magazine problem, i also have a business card addiction. not just "any" business card, though, it has to be cool .... a selection process that is continually evolving. these have made the cut .... for now .... :)

For the 10 things group:
#3: Miso Soup
Salty, oniony, tofu-y... the perfect thing to make you feel better, no matter what ails you. Don't get me wrong, I still love the bowl of Campbell's Chicken Noodle when I'm under the weather. But this is like grown-up healing soup- none of that kid's stuff.
1. ritrovare il piacere di cucinare.
2. lait noir... un regalo DA me PER me.
4. lo sguardo fedele della mia compagna di vita.
5. le risate in una bottiglietta.
7. una domenica pomeriggio di sante risate con il mio amore.
8. come Lilly e il Vagabondo: un piatto di pasta in due.

The Grove street historic district. The houses are lovely and full of character. The trees are old and nothing short of splendid. But, what I really love? There is a dog that lives in one of these homes, that does an awesome impression of a man doing a horrible impression of a dog barking. On the rare occasion that I ride past on my bike, and don't hear him, I feel a little disappointed.
10 Things:
Another view of the Moon just after the arrival of the Winter Solstice this morning. The 22° halo was icing on the cake.

#2- I love my dog Romie. With her goofy happy silly stupid presence around, how could you possibly be grumpy?
I was tagged by both Meguone and partydolly…
1. I never put my photo or those I love online. My last bastion of privacy. But, I, well, just broke my rule… (Is that one of the 7 deadly sins? Nah…) C’est moi at age 4. I have changed. Yes, it’s true…I am now taller at 5”10”. Ha! :) ;
2. I adore Celtic music, not pop Celtic, the real thing… It sends me to this very special place where my spirit seems to reside;
3. I adore fashion, elegance, chic... My favorite designers of all times are Coco Chanel, Balenciaga, and Balmain.
4. My favorite food and snack are fresh and frozen blueberries;
5. I am directionally blind. I could get lost in a shoebox;
6. I have a great sense of humor and adore that quality in others;
7. I love to garden;
8. I adore animals and work for their rights… non violently. My goal is to help stop any kind of animal testing forever, animal abuse, and teach people to understand that animals are sentient thinking beings with their own likes, agenda, and LIFE PLANS…just like humans;
9. I am very ticklish;
10. I love reading and books; deep conversations about concepts, ideas, time, Einstein, Sacred Geometry, T’ai Chi, ancient texts, languages, cultures; and love out of the box thinkers.

True to my Never a Dull Moment motto, today was Trip to the Vet Day. Kinda exciting when there are four of them. Everyone's checked out and doing well .. even if Moby is a little on the chubby side.

Saturday mornings mean waking up when the house is still quiet. Saturday morning is riding my bike downtown to the Farmer's Market. Saturday morning is climbing a narrow set of stairs that lead me to my sangha. Saturday morning is slipping off my shoes, stashing my canvas bag, and unrolling my rug on the creaky wood floor. Saturday morning is for finding my center, going deeper, and finding gratitude. I love Saturday morning.
Lunch today was photographed using my Lensbaby 2.0...I sliced up fruits and veges while Chuck made the sandwiches...Yum!

My brother, Peter Shaughnessy, makes wood and mixed media sculptural "boxes" that often have human characteristics and always embody a human motive, emotion, circumstance ... life. He made the box (above right) as a wedding gift for Tim and me. If you like his artwork as much as I do and are interested in seeing more, please visit Peter's website.
